Sony trinitron kv32fs10 nov.1999 aa-20

We love (loved) our tv until we turned it on one evening. It came on for one second then shut off and won't turn back on. We tried different outlets and it stil won't work. Do you think that it's something that we can fix ourselves ? I have the tv pulled out of the cabinet and am ready to "disect" if possible. Also, do you think that it may be from dust after all these years ?
