If your printer is making that clunking noise than stops, it may be that your encoder strip has come off the springs that hold it in place. That's what happened to our printer. Once we put the encoder strip back on the error message went away. If your encoder strip came off, it can be put back on! All you need is a flashlight, alot of patience, and small hands (I couldn't have done it without my wife!) Here's a link that helped us ensure the we put the encoder strip back on correctly :

Sewing then beeing then jamming up

The Beep is an alarm telling you to stop sewing and find the problem. Since it is jamming in the bobbin area, you should start there. Remove the fabric, then remove the bobbin and bobbin carrier... clean and remove any stray bits of thread from the bobbin area. You also should examine the needle or change it as a matter of course.

Rear end clunk in Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup

The noise is caused by the axle button being worn out, this lets the axle move back and forth and clunk, this is a unique problem with C clip retained axles, it is a noise issue but will not fail and cause any more damage, in order to fix it you must have the axles pulled and the diff carrier checked for excess wear where the axle retainning C clip rides, if the carrier is ok then replace the axles.

Carrier jam on dell 924 printer??

I was able to fix this issue on my all-in-one 944 printer. What happened was that one of the ink cartridge lids had popped open. The hard part was that the carrier was stuck on the far left side, and I wasn't able to pull it over for easer access. However, I was able to fit a finger in and push the cartridge back down. Then when I turned the printer back on the error went away.

Hope this helps

Dell 944 All-in-One Printer - printhead carrier jam

I just found that one of the little feeder rollers (??) on the roller bar has jumped out and is sitting (still attached by its spring) on top of the roller bar. I reckon that's curtains for the printer. Am I right or is it repairable?
