Question about Lexmark Office Equipment & Supplies
If your printer is making that clunking noise than stops, it may be that your encoder strip has come off the springs that hold it in place. That's what happened to our printer. Once we put the encoder strip back on the error message went away. If your encoder strip came off, it can be put back on! All you need is a flashlight, alot of patience, and small hands (I couldn't have done it without my wife!) Here's a link that helped us ensure the we put the encoder strip back on correctly : http://dellcustomerservice.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/dsn/document?c=us&docid=45A49F4D2A17494E8F4B63951C8A1237&l=en&s=gen
