I have an old tandem bicycle that has two sets of brakes, with a total of 3 brake cables. One lever operates one cable and the other lever operates two. The brand is MAFAC. I found one on-line at the following site. Scroll down to "Mafac tandem brake lever".

How do I set and release the brakes

On most walkers the handle you squeeze to make the brakes work will push down. If you push them down the brakes will lock on and pull up to unlock.

How do I ADJUST the brakes on my rollator walking frame CARE -qUIP

I would thing that it is much like a bike brake, there should be two options, first and easiest is at the hand brake there should be a screw thread with a nut on it, undo this nut a small amount and unscrew the threaded section the amount will depend on how loose the brake is start with a couple of turns try the brake and do more as needed, until your brakes are working properly again, if that is not an option (there is not threaded bar or the bar is full unscrewed) then you will need to follow the brake cable to the other end, there should be a screw holder that holds the internal metal cable loosen the screw / nut and with a pair of pliers pull the metal cable tight and tighten the screw / nut again, test brakes and adjust as needed.

this (if it is still hear when you look) is a great video guide to adjusting bike brakes, the principle is just the same., if the link is no longer active search youtube for "How to adjust bike brakes bike maintenance"

How to adjust parking brake on winnie lite 3 wheel rollator

For openers "LOCKING" handles)...
Very GENTLY would be the first caution..

Unlike the brakes on those long ago bicycles we used to have... these WALKER BRAKES are pretty cheesy plastic...

None of the ones I've been compelled to work with have
interchangeable parts... SO BE GENTLE.

Look at both ends of the cable of the first wheel you want to adjust...

You are looking for a threaded sleeve with a nut on it...

If the brakes are too tight you will want to shorten the sleeve...
Too loose you will want to lengthen it (tightening the cable).

DO NOT overtighten...

These are all plastic... cheaply constructed... but EXPENSIVE to replace.

I have had to hand craft REPLACEMENT PARTS to repair these things (nothing is STANDARD (but the careless attitudes).

When you do break'em... AMAZON had the greatest selection...
(knowing the mounting diameter, and cable length is imperative
(sold in PAIRS)).

Brakes will not lock in parking position

There are adjusters on the brake cables that are designed to solve this problem. The cables for the brakes run inside a flexible housing. When you squeeze the handle, the cable should engage the brake. The problem is that the cables inside the housing stretch over time and do not work as well. There is a threaded adjuster at the handle where the housing of the cable goes into the handle. If you turn this adjuster counterclockwise it will, in effect, make the housing longer and the brake cable tighter (shorter). This should engage the brakes better. It make take some trial and error, turning the threaded adjusters clockwise and counter-clockwise to get the proper setting for your strength and comfort. This same adjustment technique applies when you pull the handles down in the park position and when you squeeze them to slow down. Hope this helps.
