Was working fine for three weeks until my laptop stopped from low battery. Can't get it to work. Computer will not discover device. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling manually to no avail. Is flashing green and red as it should on bluetooth mode but zilch response even whilst charging on 2.4setting. Am using Acer 5100 with Vista 32 bit. Frustrating....

No other system available here as am in middle of nowhere. When I open program and features and right click it only gives me the option of "change" which uninstalls the program. Any other ideas? Cheers.

G'day. Mobile memory mouse 8000 worked fine for three weeks until my laptop turned off due to flat battery. Uninstalled and reinstalled manually to no avail. Computer says "no bluetooth device" but also says the MMM is working normally. All lights on the mouse are working. Am using ACER 5100, 32 bit system. Cannot "repair" as only gives me the "change" option in programs and features. ???

In that case you must find out id the defect is hardware or software: Start, Control Panel, System and Maintenance, Administrative Tools, Computer Management, Device Manager - if the mouse is detected at a hardware level it should appear in there at least as an unknown device - take its receiver out and in of its USB slot to give the pc a chance to detect it. If It"s not detected then it"s dead, get a new one.
If it's detected but shows some error then the driver is corrupted. Unplug its receiver, uninstall the driver, find all the remaining files and folder it has left behind and delete them, reboot,  run a good registry cleaner like
http://www.eusing.com/free_registry_cleaner/registry_cleaner.htm
and connect it and reinstall the driver

Hello,

Try use the two item on another system, see if it will work and been detected by another system, if it does and work fine on the system you tested it with, then, it shows that the operating system on your system is corrupt, i will advice you repair the operating system on your system by inserting the CD operating CD and selecting repair, with this, you are not going to lose any data, just select repair, once the operating system is repaired, the problem should be fix.

Take care.

My mouse was just working and all of a sudden it stopped, I changed the batteries, reset the small button on the bottom and also pushed the button on the plug in portion. Help Allen

I have a miscrosoft wireless laser mouse 6000, and it also stopped working on my laptop. I changed the battery, still not working. I tested the battery in another device, and it was good. I moved the mouse to another computer, and it did not work. The light on the usb connector was lit. [No changes at all to my laptop.]. It seemed like there was no power to the mouse, and I looked at the contacts inside the mouse. The contact just inside the battery opening appeared to be bent down away from the contact on the battery tray. So, I pulled it up a little so it would connect when the battery drawer closed, and (after tweaking it a couple of times), it finally worked!

air in the line, disconnect the pilot supply and hold the button until you smell gas coming from the valve, that will remove the air, as for the igniter, test it by removing the connection and hold it about 1/8" away from the conenction and click it, should see a spark

Touchpad Not Working

If you has been installed the right drivers, it is hardware problem.
Try to use the factory touchpad program for your sony touchpad and see what happen (not only the driver, also the program touchpad software)

Might seem ovious but you may want to try Acer support and look for a new Driver.. Also check under Control Panel...Mouse options... and also check device profiles to make sure windows isn't loading a "docked profile which may disable touchpad and laptop keybaord use.

Plantronics Bluetooth Headset P590

This is a "known issue" that I have raised to Plantronics. Whether they do anything about it, remains to be seen. The workaround I have discovered seems to work with both of my P590 headphones that stopped charging:

1. Plug in the USB charging cable to a laptop or computer that is powered on.
2. Connect the USB charging cable to the headphones
3. Connect the 3.5mm headphone cord cable to the headphone output on the laptop of computer (this is the long cable with the normal 3.5mm stereo plug at each end)
4. Plug the other end of the 3.5mm cable into the P590 input.

The headphones should start charging.
