Question about Bushnell 26-2036 Monocular

Open Question

Bushnell Night Vision 2x36 Scope

I left it at a friends and after picking it up found it rattled when I shook it.
I took it appart and need to figure out how to put it back together.
Does anyone have a schematic or blowup diagram so I can put it back together?

They do stay on for a while after switch, that is OK. Dim and out of focus may indicate that the output voltage is low. If replacing the battery does not fix it, then the problem may be in the power supply circuit.

SOURCE: Ruger 10/22 Scope problem

This happens will all firearms. what happens when the bullet leaves the bullet is a decieving "rise" of the bullet. The reason for this is the Line of Sight (Scope View), angles down and away from the Line of Departure (Barrel). The bullet actually never rises and is in fact continally falling away from your rifles Line of Departure but because this is higher than the Line of Sight the bullet seems to Rise than fall to the set distance in the scope (i mention set distance and not zero because you can change your Minutes of Angle on your scope to increase and decrease range)

http://www.rifleshootermag.com/shooting_tips/ballistics_0303/

this is a chart that illustrates what i just said.

now that you understand that you should take a good read into Exterior Ballistics. this is the Mathematics of your fireamrs trajectory ( I say your firearms because your bullet's flight depends on the length of the barel which will vary from gun to gun) this science of shooting will teach you how to understand bullet Grain and Volume relations. understanding the Feet per second of your rounds and how the affects you. teach you about shooting in high pressure and low pressure environments and extremly windy environment.

now there is alot of math to all of this and its hard to find it all on the net and if your not that great at math you can do what i do bc im lazy and im not a sniper im just a hobby kinda guy. '

Sierra Infinity V 6 Ballistics Software. I dl'd mine off the net you might have to buy it depending on how resourceful you are. it is well worth the buy. You can punch in the daily variables (Barometric Pressure, Temp, Humidity, and Altitude) (of couse with your bullet as well) and it will give you a "Cheat Sheet" for those conditions stating Windage and Elevation adjustments per decided incriment (50 yrds is standard) then you take that to the range and (bring a laptop if you got it and arent embarrased (som1 might even help you tune in the variables) hope this helps if not ill check back in a bit to see how you did

It would be better to replace the minute you disassemble a scope unless resealed with special equipment it will never function as well nor will it be reliable and for a bushnell by time you payed for shipping to and from a repair place you'd be at cost of new so might as get new one which has newer glass types that are vastly better than 20 yrs ago

SOURCE: Bushnell 26-3150 NV

Well, there's no telling because Bushnell is not telling. It could be due to it being 'dated' technology and as it is a 1stGen NV they have newer tech. available with other styles. It never got rave revues in the first place. If you can afford it, look at at least 3rdGen NV, even 2ndGen. is good for civilian use. Stay away from the russian junk, almost all of which is 1stGen. But USA if possible and at least you are buying quality which if it needs service, you can get it.
Good luck. :)

SOURCE: How to put lens back together on a Bushnell

Hi,

I presume you have this fixed by now but if not I'd recommend getting it back to Bushnell for repair(is it still in warranty?)
The Permafocus binoculars need specific callibration and the risk of dust or moisture getting in while open is not worth the hassle..

What color is it when you turn on you Bushnell binoculars? I think this Bushnell 26-3150 is a digital NV devise that uses CCTV image tube. In other words, it not anolog operation, but uses a digital devise to convert the iit (image intensifier tube) analog signal to a digital signal. There are advantages using digital signal, increase pixel rate, low power comsuption, etc. stewbison. Call Bushnell Night Vision and listen what they have say on this matter. stewbison.

I can't see any object in my night vision monoscope. The batteries are new.The indicator IR and ON are illuminated when switch to on.Please advice. Thank you very much. Respectfully yours, Remigio...

Hello, did you turn the Bushnell on. There two switches one for the on/off the other is for the IR and it say on as long as your finger pushs the button. Have you used during the daylight hours, looking a bright lights. If you have, the NV has gone south in one hurry.

If want come on even though the on/off switch working. If the NV devise is work there will be a green LED on the back indicating that the devise is on. stewbison

Hi the ir is not working on my bushnell 26-0400,is there any way you can help (repair ?)

I had the same model, same problem. Bushnell replaced mine under warranty, If they needed to send it for repair it had to go to Russia. I guess it was cheaper to give me a new one. If its not under warranty Bushnell will send it off for you but it will cost quite a bit. My new pair lasted about 2 years with a lot of usage. Gen 1 night vision tubes do not have a very long life span. You may be better served buying a new pair of night vision binos.

Contact Bushnell and see what they recommend you do. They're pretty good about helping people out and may service it for free for you. Give it a shot.

Dosent work

Get a technican to give it the once over - the wires may have been cut because the equipment is unsafe to use. If not, they should be able to fix the damage as the circuits are quite simple.
