understand, but door is steady hold open in this position with this plastic bar. only solution how to unbrick i found is:
    power off
    power on
when machine want to unlock door, need little help - pull
but next try to autoopen is next brick

thank, but i read manual and also some manuals for similiar miele dishwashers with autoopen. problem is, that this recycle breaker helps ( with manual pull door ), but after every one use of autoopen function door opens, but remain blocked with plastik opener and only way to unblock it is recycle breaker.
i hope, this is not normal funkcionality

    Sorry for long response :-(
Serviceman had solution: man have to use little bit MORE FORCE to open door from this position. Needed force is different (???) for different pieces :-(
And noise after reset is attempt to hide this plastic bar, no attempt to close door

Hi.

There is no program to reset. the door latch is stuck closed. This happens either because of mechanical failure of door latch mechanism, because the child lock had been activated, or because of wiring/timer board problem.

Check first that the child-safety function is not activated with door open. This can be deactivated as described in the operating instructions.

Trip the circuit breaker or disconnect power cord to cut power. If that does not work, then the door must be taken apart to access the door latch, unlock or replace it.
Before performing any repair, call Miele and verify your warranty status, and do not forget to disconnect power.

Call Miele at the number listed on the owners manual if the above does not fix the problem.

Goodbye.

Hi, I don't think you have done anything wrong, insomuch, as you may have simply pressed a button that caused this... Now removal from the Power should temporarily reset the unit. Hopefully this will clear the problem, Now you can reconnect it back into the mains, To turn Off, simply recycle the Breaker, or remove/replace the Fuse. It must be removed from the power NOT just turned on/off at the wall switch, if any.
Once this is done, you should be able to get it to work as it should.

Below is a link, so you can download a manual, this should assist you in setting it up.
http://www.devicemanuals.com/company/Miele-manuals.html
Also often behind the inspection hatch in a plastic bag, there maybe a maintenance manual to assist you too.

It is a feature of the dishwasher that in autoopen function the door will remain slightly open when the dry function is running.

Check the manual to become familiar with the features. See page 79 as well.

Why does my new dishwasher not dry dishes completely?undefined

Mieles do not have a drying element - this is a big energy saver. They save heat from washing and use that to dry the dishes. Sometimes they will not be quite bone dry at the end of the cycle, but most will be dry if you open the door for a little while to let air circulate.

If your vent (port on the front) is blocked then the machine will not be able to blow out the damp air, and you will have wet dishes as you describe. If you have leaking from that port, then check my answers on "the Miele problem" which I am pasting below.

= = = =
You have the Miele problem.

This happens every year or two. Take off the outside front panel to access the hose that runs from the bottom of the fan down to the dispenser, and lets the water drain out through it to the interior. Clean out that hose as well as you can. Replace. This is an idiotic problem that Miele should have a permanent fix for. Grrrr.

The hose cleans out quickly, the problem is getting the front back on. 4 hands make it easier. It slips on when you start close to vertical, then slip in in and down. For putting the screws back in, you might have to use a micro screwdriver to re-align the little clips on the door panel. (You will see what I mean when you do it!) This costs a service call ($100, give or take) to call for service. It can be done at home with no added parts. I think it applies to all Miele dishwashers, and I have now done it several times. As I said before, this is a design fault and should not be necessary!

If you have a helper to help contain the mess, you can spray water into the fan area (best is backward through the hose, but try all directions) and catch the runoff. We have done this and it catches a lot of gunk.muck and slop.

Doggone design sucks on an otherwise nice machine!!

G660 door falls open

Hi.

The problem is either because the spring supporting the door half way up is broken or because the spring must be adjusted.

First perform a door spring adjustment procedure as explained at page 28 in chapter 10 of the Installation Manual.

Here Miele installation manual for the G660. The file is in PDF format.

If the regulation procedure does not do the job, then the spring must be replaced.

This video shows how to replace the spring (model and manufacturer are different-operations are similar):

The spring is usually sold as part of the hinge assembly.

To get parts or to book a qualified technician call the Miele support number listed on the owners manual or use the Contact page on your local Miele website. Here UK website: Miele - Contact Us.

Regards.

Hello, My dishwasher isn't draining the water away, it is approx 13 years old but not used to much in that time; Do you think I should buy a new one or get it fixed: it could be only a small problem: ...

On the whole dishwashers are simple devices.
A controller tells a pump what to do - push water around the machine or push water into the drain.
Miele machines have a very good record for lasting over 20 years.
If you are a "handy person" you could try checking the hose to the drain is clear - blocked hose won't drain.
Have you checked the filter system inside the machine - at the bottom of the d/washer under the bottom spinning arm? If this is blocked - no drain - so clean it well.
If little checks like this are all OK well its up to you - repairs could cost £60 - £80 a new Miele would be nearer £400.
Try to get it fixed its kinder to the planet - and your pocket.
Good Luck.

My dishsoap is not getting dispersed into the load. I use electrasol cubes, they worked GREAT until yesterday, now the little door opens but the cube is just stuck in there sort of melted when the cycle is...

IF THE SPRAY ARMS ARE ROTATING THEN THE SOAP SHOULD BE DISSOLVED AFTER THE DISPENSER OPENS. IS SOMETHING BLOCKING THE DISPENSER DOOR FROM OPENING COMPLETELY WHEN YOU CLOSE THE DOOR TO WASH. EITHER THE DOOR IS BLOCKED OR NO WATER IS REACHING THE DISPENSER.

Following the wash cycle with my Miele G464SC

sounds like you mean when the unit is running you are getting water dripping from the bottom of the door panel. if you remove the door panel at the bottom where the door hinges you will find an overflow tray which runs the width of the door. This is probably blocked with food deposits.

If not you may be using too much detergent. try running with no detergent and see if there are any leaks.if you open the door mid cycle the water level shouldn't be any higher than the bottom spray arm. hope this helps

My Miele dishwasher does not get the plastic refridgerator items dry

Hello Zipmap0202,
I have never found that plastic dries very well in my Miele dishwasher as well.
Check your rinse aid indicator to see if it is on. Next to the soap door there is a door you can add rinse aid to. There is also a dispensing control knob that allows you to turn the amount of rinse aid dispensed up or down. Try changing the setting and see how that works. I have done this and it has not worked well for me. I find opening the door after the cycle is done (Just cracking) it will dry plastic alot better

There is a solenoid that opens the door to the dispenser. You can check it with a volt/ohm meter. Sometimes large dishes can block the door keeping it from opening. I personally know on some Whirlpool washers (because it was mine) that if the bottom drawer is put in backwards, it wont let the door open. When I opened the main door, then the dispenser would flop open. You need a meter to check this part if its not the other things. Without it, you are just guessing.

Miele Touchtronic G892 SC Water leak at base of door

check the rubber seal around the door to see if its torn or smashed. if it is replace it, could someone have set somthing heavy on the door while it was open that would have stressed the hinges. it is most likely one of these problems take a nail file and slid it gently between the door and the body of the dishwasher if it slides in easy where it leaks you know the seal is bad and replace it.
