I have a Samsung Impression A877. The touch screen is not working at all however, I can use the qwerty keyboard to text and call. I have tried a master reset code that did reset the phone but it did not fix the problem. Any ideas as to how to fix this problem?

How do u use the phone's touch screen? rough usage or kinda really careful... if u r a careful user the problem might be software or mebbe in rare cases due to use in humid climates hardware related... if u r the kinda careless on then the prob might be hardware... opt to use a stylus for the touch screens(exclude apple's) how much ever they say its finger friendly... in either case if the touch screen faces a hardware issue then replacing the screen is the best option

I have a Samsung A877 Impression. All of a sudden the touch screen is not working. How to fix this issue?

The touch screen malfunctioning is a hardware issue, you'll need to take it into ATT and try to get an exchange through the insurance program they offer.

Samsung Impression touch screen not working, so am unable to retrieve contacts, photos, etc. AT&T said they couldn't help.

Hello

What you need to do is to calibrate your screen.

There is a code to do that, type in the code using the keyboard and use the keyboard "enter key" when done typing. A screen message will come up briefly. Something about processing and that the phone will shut off and restart. After the restart the touch screen should work again.

code: *2767*3855#

If problem persists, you should replace the flex cable and digitizer screen. This should solve the problem

Hi,you will have to replace the flex of the phone.
The flex make the touch pad to function, also the functioning of the number keys.
When you replace the flex the touch pad and the key will function again.
