I have already own a cooler master cac-t05-uw case, gigabyte ga-965p-ds3 motherboard, and seagate st3400620as hard disk drive.. I'm looking for: power supply, cpu, cooling device, ram, and video adapter...

Hi, welcome to FixYa.

Currently, your motherboard only support Intel Core 2 family (not the newest Core i, even the Core i Sandy Bridge series). Here's the list of the supported CPU that your motherboard support.

http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=2456

For the memory, I recommend you that a very good brand such Team Elite, Corsair, or else. Here's the list of supported memory:

http://download.gigabyte.asia/FileList/Memory/motherboard_memory_ga-965p-ds3_3.3.pdf

For power supply, you can take ThermalTake or CoolerMaster power supply, I recommend you take at least 500W as your power supply.

As for the VGA (video), it's up to your need, but I recommend you to take HIS as their cooling devices is very good.

Sorry I can't give you the model number, there's a lot of it.

Thanks for using FixYa!

Go to http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/download-center.aspx?kw=GA-965P-DS3

and click on revision 1.0 - 3.3 as there may be additional CPUs supported in Rev 3.3 vs 1.0, you have to determine what specific Revision you have.

Hi my mother board is working but after 5 mintues it turn's off why its got 2.00gig of ram and anew power supply please help. Thank-You John

1. make sure that all motherboard fans are working especially the CPU fan. the motherboard shutsdown when it reaches a max temperature.
2. maybe your power supply is defective.
3. make sure that the CPU heatsink is properly seated in the processor

I just flashed my Bios Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 from F12 to F13. Now my CPU fan is at full speed. It's loud and driving me nuts. I've looked all through the bios to see if I can slow it down. Also, went on...

it's actually good that your cpu fan is runing at it's full speed. Usually only the manufacturer issues firmwares. Lookforward Gigabyte for the update. thanx
