I found a solution. The scanners needed to be reset to default. (via the manual) Thx anyway. Didn't know they could be configured for use without a kboard... That definately bit me once.

Hi Richiet Seems liek it has not been detected into the system or has gone faulty. I would first wonder is ot a new item ? If so try reinstanning it on the system you are using, If it was an older item do the same but maybe look atthe fact that it could be faulty in both instances. YOu always have a warrenty with manufacture and by law they will have to give you full technical support on the item

Hmmm are these falling apart after 2 years? A customer of ours seems to be having that problem for about 1 or 2 months. Close to our date. I saw you are from America. We're located in Europe. I havn't seen it yet, but got told the red light / beam isn't rectangluar. Seems it more V shaped. Like at 1 end a piece is missing. A new pc installation didn't help. We still want more information before we drive there. So we know what to take with us. The clean the glass every now and then, so it should be clean. Wondering if it is the scanner if there is a led broken or some lose wiring or something. Then they probably need to buy a new one. IF someone knows any other tests to try or know the solution please let me know at email@example.com

There is more than one way for that imager to send data to the computer. Are you using USB, serial, or is there a little box that goes between your existing keyboard and the PC that accepts the scanner connector?
