Change c18 and c36 both are 2200uf at 10v - they are on the power supply and most of the time they are green

I have a power problem with my LG setop. I had it reparied by LG service center once, but it failed again. As it is not in warranty LG said they will charge me for repair. Is there any way I can fix the problem on my own. The problem is NO POWER to the system. I tried different outlets and also different cables. Seems like a problem with system itself.

I was about to throw away my DVR... I had tried about everything proposed on this site, except replacing C18 and C36. It did work! Note that the display is still quite dim, but replacing C18 and C36 did work, thanks to nipper00 post!

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
