Why do I have white / faded print when printing black? It also has problems printing straight lines - sometimes jagged sometimes just faded.

I do not know for sure but it sounds like the paper is not griped properly, this would cause the jagged lines. I would try another ink cart when the loose paper problem is resolved. I hope this helps.

Printing faded

Hello Emma,
Try increasing the YMC Printhead Power;
Go to your printers folder (Printers & Faxes / Devices & Printers), right-click on Magicard Printer Series, choose Printing Preferences, then Advanced Options. Expand the Color section, then expand Printer head power, increase the Yellow, Magenta and Cyan power. The default value is 50. Try changing this to maybe 60. Click OK. Apply the changes, then exit Printing Preferences. You will need to restart the application you print cards from for the changes to take effect.
You can download the user manual for your printer here;
http://www.magicardonline.net
(just enter your printer's serial number in the QuickSearch box.

I hope this helps,

Regards,
MC.

Does an old PHD cause faded colors?

the PHD transfers the image to the printed page and when it starts to go bad the images can become dull or faded and even blurry or totally missing. Id recommend the PHD be replaced and it should resolve your issues.

Black print is faded on my HP deskjet 6980 printer. Whenever I print a word document it will have sporadic fading. It will be fine in one place then all faded in another. I've cleaned the cartridges and...

Hi,

Here are some steps you can check to resolve your issue.

Check if the ink cartridges are low, specially the color black since if the black is empty, you are using the colored cartridges to print black. If the cartridges are newly replaced check the cartridges by reseating it. Try to consider changing the print quality high but doing so will use more ink. If still the same try to clean your printer heads.

Here are the instruction for cleaning your printer.

Open the printer tool box. (open a word, then click on file then print, choose properties, then services)
click on clean the print cartridges, then clean. Do test printing as well to check if the color is correct. If still the same calibrate the color which can be found in the same menu.

For more information here is the link for step by step instruction with visuals.

Hope this will help you resolve the problem.

Thank you for choosing fixya

My Kodak ESP 5 fades when printing then will go blank even when I have ink

try copying something from the printer in standalone mode and check if the same issue or not.....if it is then try and do print head cleaning from the menu option and if still does not resolve call kodak tech support as it is print head issue and needs replacement..........if the copy comes out fine and faded print is only when trying to print from the computer then it could be a software issue
