While programing a large group list (53 numbers) to a quick dial, somehow my settings were reconfigured on the machine and I can't reset it to the way it was. There are 3 issues which I have identified as not being the same as the way they were and i would like them to be.
When I print the parameter list it shows that my settings are they way I want them to be, however, they are not functioning in this manner.
Transmission mode is set for "memory" (which is the desired setting)but when faxing, the number is displayed as dialing (this never happened before), there is a long pause before the paper is accepted and there is no confirmation sheet printing as it states it should be on the user parameter list This appears to be the functioning characteristics of the "immediate transmission" mode rather than the "memory transmission"mode.
Through inner office test, know the faxes are transmitting but I can't get them to produce a confirmation.
The "Memory" button on the machine beeps when pressed but the light does not go on or off. Also the quick dial/group button that I programmed does not function any longer (it worked fine when I sent the multi # group fax- all were received).
Any adjustments I seem to make on the user parameters don't seem to "take".
What did I do?
How can I fix this?
You have programmed the broadcast with 1 too many numbers using the 10 key method. You wioll have to remove just 1 of the numbers in the broadcast. Not one of the quick dial numbers or one of the speed dial numbers, but one of the numbers you entered using the 10 key pad. I believe the maximum is 10, but you must leave 1 free for the memory to work.
I see that you have programmed 53 numbers for this broadcast. Why not assign speed dial numbers for those that you have used the 10 key pad for?
Groups allow you to send the same fax message to multiple numbers (broadcasting). You can store the Groups on your One-Touch keys or SpeedDial locations and then broadcast by pressing a One-Touch key and Fax Start or by pressing Search/Speed Dial, the three digit location and FaxStart. First, you will need to store each fax number you wish to includein your Group as either a One-Touch or Speed Dial number. Then, you can combine these numbers into a group. Finally, you can have up to six Groups, or you can assign up to 131 numbers to one large Group. Each Group uses one One-Touch key or Speed Dial location. To set up a Group, please follow these steps:
1. Press Menu, 2 (Fax), 3 (Set Auto Dial), 3 (Setup Groups).
2. Press the One-Touch key on which you wish to store the Group or pressSearch/Speed Dial followed by the three-digit Speed Dial location where you wish to store the Group. The LCD will read SETUP GROUP:G0 ENTER & SET.
