I have Dell 1907fpc monitor. The image flickers and finally darkens. how to resolve the problem?

It sounds like your LCD Backlight/s are going out. To fix you will need to replace the LCD screen inside the Monitor. It may be more feasible to replace the Monitor.

When i changed my old monitor with ViewSonic VE155B Black 15" LCD Monitor, the beautiful pictures previously stored on my computer appear too dark. i checked the settings of monitor, but the brightness n...

rubina576, I see you haven't looked at the "date of manufacture" on rear of your VE155B!!!! Retrevo .com lists unit as time to retire. The long,"very thin", "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamps" that provide a "constant" bright, "white light" on the reverse side of the LCD PANEL, have "worn out" and are very "tired"!!!! You can see typical lcd CCFL's at: www.rexim.com and click on "products" you will see "lcd backlights" !!! YOU ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO CHANGE THEM. A technician will need to do it. Very time consuming procedure. If your ve155b menu button on monitor can't fix brightness for you, then your options are: 1. check with viewsonic to cost out a refurbed VE155b if you can. 2. Trade in unit for new wide-screen 2010 or 2011 lcd monitor. If this was of some help, please rate my response on fixya. By for now. 12fixlouie north of Windy City.

My Samsung 2493HM Monitor wont turn on, the blue light just blinks, then after some undetermined amount of time the light goes solid and all is well. It took over an hour today to start working. This just...

sales660, Monitor should not be doing that!!! Use Samsung warranty if available. Complain about "premature failure". Examine black screen for very faint displayed image with aid of bright flashlight(test all owners of CCFL back-lit lcd displays should know) to determine full or partial SMPS shutdown mode. Read more in my fixya profile for more that you can do. It could be bad capacitors or a thermally intermittant solder connection that you or qualified electronics tech will need to fix if warranty not option. After reading and surfing net you will understand your CCFL back-lit lcd display and how it works. Your monitor no different than ANY other brand of CCFL back-lit lcd monitor in it's basic design and operation!!! 12fixlouie

Screen returned from supplier background bright pink, how do I change to white background.

To check if the video card or the Sharp LCD monitor is faulty, connect a different monitor to the computer. If this monitor displays a normal image then the video card is OK and the Sharp LCD monitor's back-light is faulty. Send it back to the supplier to have it fixed (they should not have reurned it to you in this condition).
If the other monitor also displays a bright pink background then the video card is faulty and needs to be replaced.

Camera monitor very light

The LCD Monitor Brightness has a range of -5 to +5.

Rotate the mode dial to Setup. Turn on your camera.
Go into the Setup Menu, then Custom, then select LCD Brightness. Make adjustments as needed.

Let me know if this fixes the LCD monitor. Thank you, Binary Bob

Sony SDM-HS73 Not Staying On

The problem is with power inverter, usually the capacitors go bad and need to changed, they might be bulged and or leaking. Very cheap fix, less than a buck apiece and an hour with a solder iron. Google it to find more info.

Problem LCD screen stays white bright after switch button is OFF ??

Some capacitors need to be replaced, which would have burnt out due to power fluctuations

Screen goes black

I recently had a similar problem with a MAG LCD monitor. Try the following to see if this resolves your problem: - set brightness to a lower level. On LCD monitors you can go as low as 0 and still see the screen. With my problem when I set the brightness below 70% the problem went away. A few days later I turned it all the way up to 100% and the problem did not return. However I did not continue to keep it at that level. I found no need for it and find 50% to be exceptable for my needs. I would say yes it does have something to do with the lamp controler which controls the lamp brightness. I do not know all the technical reasons why a controler starts to have this sort of problem. If your monitor is still under warranty I would take advantage of the free repair otherwise keep the brightness below the level that causes the problem; for me that was under 70 percent. I hope this solution works for you. Perhaps there are others that can give you all the technical reasons why a controler starts to exhibit this behavior. Sincerely, Dean Kenneth Robinson
