The printer has an SMPS unit and can be faulty. You will need to open the printer and the power supply unit is housed at the point of the plug in of the power plug. Take the unit out, if the fuse is blown , check for short in the suge protector, the rectifiers, the filter capacitors or the SM driver,/ IC. replace the shorted component and the fuse .
The Sm transformer is a rare case too.but if there is short at the secondary section , the same issues of the power cut off can happen. So if primary side is Ok check on the sec. side disconnect to bring power back and trace.

My 6313 is dead

1st check your cables from the outlet to the machine........are all the cables firmly in place.

2nd check the you have power coming to your machine.....(this can be checked by plugging something else into the outlet and seeing if t works).

Try these two things first, as further repairs will cost money.

My printer will not pring

1. Please check if the ink cartridge is empty or not. If empty or nearly empty, better to change a brand new cartridge as per instructions;
2. Please check if the printer driver installed in the PC is still damaged or not. Suggest to re-install the printer driver once again;
3. Please check if the printer cable (USB/Network cable) is connected firmly from the PC to the printer. If found loosen, please connect it firmly;
4. If you found the printer led light is not turned on even you have plugged the power cable correctly, please change another power cable for testing; or may be the power bar is not working properly;
5. After you tried all these steps and the printer still couldn't work, please disconnect it and send it to the Canon repair center for proper repair and maintenance. Please do not open the chasis of the printer by yourselves.

I replaced the black ink cartiridge now I try to power up printer and it wont power up what do I do?

First you can make sure the outlet you plug your printer into has electricity by unplugging the printer and plugging in a lamp or something to show the electricity is working. Unplug the other end of the power to the printer if it will unplug - so the printer power cable is unplugged at both ends.

If the electricity is okay then plug both ends of the printer power cable back in and see if the printer comes on. If it does not, lift the lid where you replaced the ink cartridge and see if you can remove and reinstall the ink cartridge. Make sure the latch holding the cartridge is firmly in place. Finally, make sure the lid is down and solidly in place.

Usually one of the above suggestions corrects the power problem. If not, please come back & remind us you have followed these suggestions and we can continue to try to correct your problem..

Good luck.................................Pete

Printer will not turn on the little light on front is on ther is pwer to the printer

Hi there !

Check the power supply if your accidentally plug your printer to 110 volts and surely it will not print and as you mention that there is a little on the printer.

If not turn off your computer. Turn your printer and remove the power supply cable from the power supply and to the printer and return the power connection back firmly. Turn on your printer and computer and try to print again.

I hope it helps you and thank you for using FixYa !

Where is the toner cartridge and how do I find it?

Plug the Lexmark 2600 into an electrical outlet and press the power button. Allow the unit to power up. The power button will turn green when ready.

Turn on the Printer and Open the top cover of the Lexmark 2600 by lifting the cover upward. you will find all cartridges down there.

Now you see how to replace them

Remove the black ink cartridge from it's packaging. Remove the tape from the black ink cartridge first and place the cartridge into the left ink cartridge holder. Press the cartridge down into until you hear it lock into place. Close the ink cartridge holder lid by pressing it down firmly. This secures the ink cartridge in place.

Remove the colored ink cartridge from the packaging and remove the tape from the cartridge. Place the cartridge into the right cartridge holder and press down until it clicks into place. Push down the cartridge holder lid.

Close the lid of the Lexmark 2600 and allow the print cartridges to align. The power light will be blinking while the cartridges are being aligned; once the power light turns solid, the printer is ready for use.

Power is not coming .

Check to make sure the power cord is in an active outlet some times they may go bad. or also could be on a light switch. Ensure light switch is on. Also make sure if the wires connect to a power adapter that they are firmly in place. If it does not resolve your issue the printer may have went ka ~ poot! May not work anymore.

Printer will not turn on

Check power source. Also, if you have a voltmeter, check the power going into the printer. If all is good there, unplug the printer from the computer and try to power it on. If it powers up while not connected to the computer, this could indicate a problem with the USB cable or the port on the computer. Try another cable or available port (if you have one). If the printer is connected via an external USB hub, try connecting it directly to the computer instead. If none of these work, post back here & I'll assist you further.

Wont turn on!

Unless the power cord is loose, it sounds like the unit is defective. There are two places to check the power cord. The 'brick' has to be firmly inserted into the back of the printer and the cord has to be properly fitting into the brick. If all is well there, it sounds like something more drastic is wrong.
