Question about Whirlpool GEW9200L Electric Dryer

1 Answer

I have power to the terminals on the rear of the unit. The unit does not turn on. Could it be the control board? Could I have damaged it by mistakingly putting the white hot (old house) to the neutral terminal?

I have an amana acd12je-e air conditioner. I have no power to the controller . I cycled the gfi a couple times and still no power at the controller. What should I do next ?already check the breaker.

You need a volt meter or some way to check for voltage. Remove unit from its housing (metal casing). It may slide out or be screwed to) and check for voltage where electrical cord connects to unit. If you have power there you know its not the gfi, breaker or cord. On the circuit board (behind the controller?? Not sure) there may be a fusible link or fuse that can be replaced. Or there may be visible damage on the board(burnt spots or terminals). As always, WORK SAFE!!

Superba. Why won't stove and left front burner turn off completely?

Hello. You didn't provide the model number for your unit so my help is limited. From what you're describing, it sounds like the infinite switch(fancy name for burner control) has begun to fail(in a short-circuit type of manner). Be advised though, depending on the model of unit you have(such as the glass touch-panel type), the problem could be a damaged circuit board, either the main board or the user interface board. Also, if so equipped, there can be a relay board that EVERYTHING passes through which can have partial failures and produce the symptom you have. This relay board is typically mounted on the rear wall of the oven, under the rear cover. Did you have a power outage recently(such as 3-4 weeks prior to this happening)? Outages are notorious for damaging electronic controls--usually after that time period, the damaged chips start to fail, causing all sorts of problems. If I have the model number, I can provide part numbers and possibly, exploded diagrams.

How to clear a main power overload on a kohler gen

What is missing here is a couple of things, what size generator are we talking? a residential, commercial, what control is on the unit. They all reset in different ways. One sure way is disconnect the battery charger first (VERY IMPORTANT or control board can be damaged) disconnect the negative terminal off the battery. leave off for a minute they re conenct and re energize charger. Fault should clear unless you have done damage due to over load.

Turn power off to unit. Open air handler and take a picture of the low voltage (tstat) wires and where they are landed. Remove all thermostat wires from control board. Then replace the 5 amp fuse that is likely on the board. Fuse likely looks like one for a car (blade style). Put a jumper (small piece of wire) from the R terminal to the G terminal and turn power back on to unit. This should bring on the indoor blower. Let me know how that goes!!

Neptune washer mod.#mah5500bww---washes,drains at 10-12 mins left on timer Spin cycle Lr code appears will not complete spin cycle----

The machine control detected that the rotor is "locked". It happens when no tach signal is sent to the machine control from the motor control either due to a faulty motor control board, a faulty drive motor, or a faulty wiring harness connection between the motor control board and the machine control board.

Disconnect power to the washer prior to servicing to avoid the risk electric shock. Open the washer door and turn the drum manually to verify whether the rotor or the tub bearing is stuck or not. Proceed below when the drum rotates freely; otherwise refer to the next troubleshooting guide.

Remove the four screws from the rear of the console attaching it to the rear cover plate. Cushion the top cover of the washer with a cloth. Grasp the top of the console and gently rock it forward away from the rear cover plate, and then flip the console to the top of the washer to access the machine control board.

Disconnect the 4-pin and 3-pin wiring harness connector at the left bottom of the control board including the 3-pin connector on the right bottom side. Clean the connectors and the pin terminals using an old toothbrush or any similar tool and electronic cleaning solution; 70% alcohol will do.

Hold only the edges of the control board when cleaning the terminals to avoid electrostatic discharge (ESD) to the electronic components that may cause damage to the board. Touching the unpainted part of a concrete wall or metal water pipeline repeatedly will help prevent ESD damage.

Reseat the wiring harness connectors repeatedly. In this manner, the terminals are thoroughly cleaned to ensure a good connection.

Reinstall the console by aligning the hooked tabs at the bottom of the console with the slots in the top cover. Insert the tabs into the slots and rock the console back into position then secure it to the rear cover plate with the four screws removed previously.

Check for power to the unit. If power exists, check your low voltage. Do you have 24volts to R & C at your thermostat?

Turned oven on , saw a blue flash and now nothing works .

Hi. What you have experienced is a voltage spike. Essentially, this has destroyed your main control board. I would recommend to inspect the rear terminal block for damage, or burned contacts. If the terminal block(where the plug is wired into the unit), is ok, and not severed, this will confirm the damage to the main control board. It must be replaced, in this case.

NOTE_ Additionally, i would advise to inspect the home circuit breaker box for damage, as well.

Fan not turning clicking in back

Hi. This will indicate that the Main circuit board(PCB), which is located in the back, middle or lower rear panel, has failed. This clicking noise is the result of a failed relay, on this particular board. The main board directs the necessary power to this fan circuit when commanded by the control sector. This type of circuit damage will cause all components within the unit to fail, thus, not allowing optimal performance. I would advise to replace this damaged board, asap. Once replaced, the unit will operate normally.

I’m attaching a wiring diagram which hopefully isreadable. I’ll also list the “where to”instructions for all of the other wires. It’simportant that several wiring steps be done in a particular order.

About the Memory Wire:

The memory wire is Yellow and should be connected to the +12 V power terminal (which isenergized at all times). First besure to connect the black ground (earth) lead to a metal surface of the car.

Important…
>>Before making connections, turn the stereo unit and carignition off to avoid short circuits.
>>Connect the yellow and red power input leads onlyafter all other leads have been connected.
>>The power antenna (aerial) control lead (blue)supplies +12 V DC when you turn on the tuner.

Hope this helps. Lemme know if you have more questions or would like me to email you acopy of the owner’s manual.

Thanks, and take care.

Gail :-)

3. To AMP REMOTE IN of an optional power amplifier
>This connection is only for amplifiers. Connecting anyother system may damage the unit.

4. To the +12 V power terminal which isenergized in the accessory position of the ignition switch
>Notes
>>If there is no accessory position, connect to the+12 V power (battery) terminal which is energized at all times.
>>Be sure to connect the black ground (earth) lead toa metal surface of the car first.
