Try unplugging it for a few minutes and then overnight to see if either fixes the problem. If not the control board will most likely need to be replaced since this is happening on both the remote and the tv.

good luck on getting it working with the two resets I suggested. Please let me know if you have any further questions after you try my suggestions

the easiest way to locate the board is to follow the wires from the side button control panel to the board.

There may be a fault in the control board of the television. I would suggest haveing a look inside and possibly replaceing the board.

Hi chances are there are cables that are pinched or loose inside the television itself, if you want you can take the risk of opening it and check the cables and wires. make sure you turn it off and unplug it from power supply first.

you can actually open up the remote and clean it from the inside, dust or dirt might accumulate on the pads thats why it doesnt respond

The remote for my Panasonic HT520 doesn't respond. When the CD-DVD button on the remote is pressed the lights come on on the remote, but still nothing from the player. The player works fine on it's own,...

Ok let me verify; you have an HT-520 home theatre with integrated DVD player. When you press the DVD input you can't control certain aspects of the DVD player or the DVD player does not respond at all?

Does the DVD respond at all if you put the remote into another mode (should be called Amp or Receiver)? Can your remote be programmed for different devices and mabe it was programmed to control a different DVD player?

I will search the unit in my knowledge base and let you know some exact steps to try. If you could clarify some of thoes details that would be wonderful.

Thanks,

Kevin

Trying to program cineplus remote for panasonic dvd player

Try this as all remotes work about the for manual setting.
Here you go. This will work with most all universal remote controls. If you don't have the code do the following:
Automatic Programming
With automatic programming, the remote control tests all the codes available on the Code List and assigns the correct code for the selected device. Although this method can be more time-consuming, it eliminates the need to look up codes and enter them manually.

1. Turn off the device with which you want to use the remote control.

2. Press and hold the corresponding button on the remote control
(TV, VCR, SAT, DVD, CAB or AUD) until POWER INDICATOR illuminates. It should take a couple of seconds for the light to remain solid. The remote control is in programming mode.

3. Press and release power button. The POWER INDICATOR flashes once and stays on indicating the unit is in Power Scan mode.

4. Press CHANNEL up or CHANNEL down repeatedly until the device turns on.

5. When the device turns on, press OK to store the code.

Note:
• To exit without storing the code, press BACK.
• T he unit will search for the next code or the previous code if you press
CHANNEL up or CHANNEL down after the device turns on. (go slow you need to press OK when the TV turns on) if you mess up turn TV off and start over.
6. Press any other button. If the device responds, the remote control has been programmed. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 2-5.

Need operating manual

if you are asking about the ” innovage” large tv remote… you do not need a code booklet.
maunally turn your tv on
point the remote at the tv
push ” code search”
a red button will blink
push the ” TV” button
then push the upper right botton with a circle and line on it…
the red burron will blink during each push…
at some point the tv will turn off…
push the “enter” button
the tv will then work with the remote.
it it takes too long to catch so to speak…
do not turn the TV off…
during the process… go ahead and push search code again..then TV
then on/off botton sometimes this speeds up the process.
i’ve found every once in a while the large remote stops responding to the on/off button…
just repeat the steps.

We hope this helps please rate/vote for me if it does thanks

REMOTE LOCKED

On most television remotes, there are buttons to control other units. If these buttons are hit by accident, then the remote acts like you described. Look at the top of the remote and find the button that says TV. Push it and it should start working normal. Since I'm not at my shop, I don't know the exact button or names. If this doesn't work, respond to this post and I will reply when I have a schematic in front of me.
