What kind of camera? EZ solution. Put camera on AUTO if there is such a setting, usually if there is a rotary selector, its the A or even P for program. Turn it on, point and shoot. Download Picasa from Google website, plug camera into USB computer and Picasa will automatically show you whats on the camera, will ask you to name the folder they will be downloaded to, will ask you if you want to erase the memory card after uploading, and even put them onto a public web page if you want. Easiest software I have come across. When Picasa opens, youll see the different folders, click on the one you want to look at, and if there is a pic that didnt come out or is unwanted, just hit del on the PC keyboard and its gone.

I need to replace the lens of w-180.what is I number of part?

I'm guessing that you're experiencing an "access error" (on Sony's) or a "lens error" (on Canon's and others). Unfortunately the replacement part runs about $30 on ebay (here's one example, just search there for: sony w180 lens), and runs close to the value of your camera (going rate for a used w180 is about $40). If you purchased such a lens, there's no guarantee that you'd be able to fix your camera, as it really is not easy to access the lens.
You might want to instead consider that fix techniques have been developed for lens/access errors that do not involve opening up the camera. See this link. Give these fixes repeated tries. But if unsuccessful, consider purchasing one of those used w180's, or better yet, a brand new model camera.

My cannon powere shot is 1 year old. Is it in warranty? Does warranty cover lens error?

You are entitled for a free replacement if the product is in warranty. Warranty period is for full 1 year for this camera. For example if you purchased this camera on 1-July-2009 then your warranty ends on 1-July-2010.

If you have the purchase receipt, take it with you to the vendor and request for free repair or replacement before the warranty period ends.

Why are the photos on my Canon Power Shot S3IS not

When my cameras start having a mind of their own there are three basic things I check:
1. How old is the battery? Or has the camera been sitting around for a while? Chances are your battery doesn't have the gusto in it anymore if you answered yes or maybe to one of these. And then the camera stars acting up.
2. Once you've started "researching and resetting" all the possible settings it is good to reset all settings to default settings. Your manual will guide you for this.
3. Last but not least, where you out in humid weather? lake? sea? ocean? boat? handled the camera after coming out of the pool with wet hands?
anything that would have allowed all that to seep into your camera?

Battries run out of power, while camera is turned of.

The batteries on the DSC-V1 will be around five years old now so that's to be expected. You need to replace faulty batteries with genuine and new Sony InfoLithium NP-FC11. Many cheaper "compatibles" exist, but at best they don't last as long and will not give any battery charge indication (they lack the InfoLithium chip) and at worst they can damage the camera.

Unfortunately, genuine batteries are so expensive that you might decide it's time to upgrade, but as the DSC-V1 is such an excellent camera it's not a straightforward decision. Newer = more megapixels, but also = noisier images. 5MP is easily more than enough for prints up to A4 size even allowing for a bit of image cropping.

Same problem with kodak c613

Well unfortunately you may not be able to use my problem solve...I took it back to Best Buy since I was within my number of days limit to return! I have read on other sites however that using Kodak batteries has solved some people's issue - that seems ridiculous to me since they should be the same as Energizer, Duracell, etc., but I guess it's a cheap alternative to give a shot. Sorry I am not of more help!

Cannon sd400 power shot

Sounds to me like you have a broken LCD screen. This is unfortunately very common in the SD200, SD300, and SD400 cameras. Because an LCD display is made up of a few sheets of very thin glass, they tend to break rather easil and then the "dye" leaks out, hence your feather pattern.

If you feel up to taking your camera apart, you can purchase a replacement screen on eBay for around $60-$80. If you don't feel up to trying to replace it yourself there are people on eBay who offer repair services for broken LCDs and they typically charge between $80-$100.

Sony DSC W7 control dial defect

I had a similar problem with my EOS 5, was trying to change between modes and it made a lovely "snapping pencil" noise and then behaved as you describe. I managed to get it done under warranty after a lot of moaning and ****(it was 54 weeks old). After chatting to some camera shop owners it seemed to be the most common problem with the EOS 5 (doesn't happen often, just most common type of error). I could understand it if I was going from the program modes to the creative modes where you have to pass through the "lock" position, but I am sure that I wasn't. Anyway, upshot was that it got fixed, works fine now, but when changing modes I always depress the "lock" button, even if its not passing through the "lock" position. Sorry, but the quick fix is pay the $75 which doesnt seem unreasonable, or switch to a camera that doesnt use that type of switching method, EOS3, EOS1, EOS D3 :-). Hope this helps to answer your question

Sony Cyber-shot Digicams - Picture Quality !?!?!?

I'm assuming you purchased a Sony as replacement. If that's the case, take it back and ask for a new one or have it checked out. Something sounds horribly wrong to me. If by chance you got one of those Chinese/Taiwanese cameras. Give it away and go back to the P72. Of course, a few hours reading the manual and playing with the camera may solve your problems. Don't try to get fancy first off. Stick with Auto modes until you get a feel for what you're doing. If you are using Auto the go back to the first sentence :-) BMW
