Question about Car Audio & Video

1 Answer

Hey! I have a 2008 micra which while away the battery went flat,(hence no radio ) I have the code for the radio but we took a guess before reading the manual and now it has locked us out, the manufacture told us to turn on the ignition for a hour and half and it should fix it,but the battery obviously went flat again!! and we still can't enter the code, the radio won't turn on at all. Please help, thanks colleen.

I would recommend putting on a charger when you turn the ingition with the head lights and anything that draws power off or maybe a roadtrip that is two or so hours long to keep battery charged

Hey Nathan Blumenthal,

Should be a DEALER item...

(after you provide proof of ownership)

Go to

or search the internet with
nissan+unlock+radio+code

$15 and much less... Read down the list...
This time write it on the wall next to your GARAE light switch...
kEEPING it in the CAR WILL ONLY INCREASE its PRICE at the flea market ... Know what I mean?

Battery went flat, now why are radio and mmi not working?

Because the battery went flat. Most likely need a code from the dealership to make the radio work again.

My nissan micra needed a new battery and now the radio wont work, i have the code but the number 2 button wont work can anyone help

You must have the radio repaired to enter the code, there is no way around the problem of the inoperable button. Next time use a battery back up, never completely power down the system. Walmart has these battery power supplies.

Battery went dead in my 2008 civic, took the battery out and charged it. I now have error codes on my radio.

it sounds like you have an anti-theft radio and when the battery power is interrupted the radio goes into a lock out mode so anyone that steals it can`t use it,hopefully you have the code that needs to be punched into the radio written in the owners manual,if not then you will have to go to the dealer and tell them what happened and they can get the code and program your radio.write down the code and procedure so if it happens again you can reprogram it yourself.

Nissan Micra automatic car Reg 2004 - CD player code

First make sure that the code has not been noted somewhere within the car (underneath the ash tray, glove box , rear of sun visor etc)

To see if your code is available here for free then the radio will have to be removed from the dashboard (and if you are lucky, someone may have written the code on the casing ) .

If not then POST ANOTHER QUESTION

quoting the radio MAKE+MODEL plus ALL the LETTERS+NUMBERS on ANY LABELS ,BARCODES or STAMPED IN THE METAL CASING

note: Unfortunately not all radios can be decoded using the Serial Number
