Question about Nikon Coolpix 4100 Digital Camera
I have a coolpix 4100 that has no manual (it was given to me without a manual). I understand that I can delete pictures but I have no idea how to do it. It is at 310 pics and I assume I must be getting close to filling the memory. Can you give me a quick lesson in how to delete so that I will have at least a few shots left for a wedding I am attending tomorrow?
The first thing you need to do is transfer your images to a computer, and then you need to format your card which will get rid of all the images on your memory card. Make sure you format the card in the camera and not with the computer. I have included a link to the camera manual below. To transfer your images you probably are going to need the software that came with the camera called Picture Project installed on your computer first. Once that is done transfer your images by following the instructions on page 45 of the manual, and then format your memory card by following the instructions on page 93 of the instruction manual.

First turn the unit on and then hit the play button (looks like a triangle inside a square). This will let you browse through the pictures you have taken using the left and right arrows. Once you come to a picture that you want to delete hit the Trash can button (It looks like a basket with the lid flying off) that is located on the back, in the bottom right corner near the lcd. When you do this it will ask you to confirm the deletion. Use the arrow key to select the menu and confirm by pressing the button in the center of the arrows. This link at the bottom of this post provides you with a downloadable version of the manual.
Please rate me well if this was helpful to you. Let me know if you have any questions.
