SOURCE: Maytag Bravos dryer heats but does not blow air.

Since you did not provide a model number I picked a similar model for reference using this model number: MDE5721TQO (there are at least 40 different model numbers but the blowers are all the same) You blower is driven directly by the motor so unless the blower itself has come apart or the drive spline in the blower has failed in some way you more than likely have a major build up of lint in your dryer.

You can look here to see the blower location http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5133558&diagram_id=1301439#d1301439

You can turn the motor by hand and see if the blower is turning by losening the housing screws for the blower while using a flashlight. If the blower is turning then you need to find out where the blockage of lint has built up and remove it. I would startt around the lint filter. NOTE The drum will also turn.if you rotate the motor pulley. Just make sure the unit is unplugged while you attempt this. If you do locate the blockage I have found that a well bent into a U shaped METAL coat hanger works well. Do NOT poke any sharp objects into the air ducting areas of your dryer while trying to find any blockages and avoid the heating element area with anything metal or sharp. A vacuum crevice tool works great during this task. Good luck and I do hope you are able to locate the problem based on the information here.

SOURCE: Dryer blows air, but the tub inside the dryer does

The belt has broke. There is a video at www.appliancehelponline.com/servicemanual.html this will walk you thru the replacement. You might have to watch a different video for disassembling your model. Enter your model # for diagrams and illustrations of your specific model.

SOURCE: Maytag Bravos dryer heats but does not blow air.

Maybe that was in addition..they tell us the air flow is blocked and tell us 2 clean our air duct ..but the dryer was blocked on inside..the repair man claimed the belt was off maybe he was blowing smoke..but these are the kind of people they are sending out..trying to blow off as many appointments so they can get off on time.

Clean your dryer at least once a year

doesn't matter what kind of dryer you have, you should clean it out or have someone clean it out at least once a year more so if it's gas so you don't have a fire on your hands, unplug dryer, go outside and make sure nothing is blocking the air flow and outside flapper is blowing fully open and clean out the vent line, disconnect vent line from the back of dryer and blow it out with a leaf blower if it's a long run just stick the leaf blower right in the vent line that you disconnected from the back of dryer and blow out to the outside vent hood, vac out the inside of dryer and clean out the duct where the lint filter slides into,a shop vac works great because the other end of it has a blower on it,blow the lint off the motor and blow the lint that's in the back of dryer so the lint comes to the front so you don't have to remove the drum and don't run the dryer or any other appliance if you are leaving the house

You may have the thermal fuse blown. It is not re-settable and they usually blow because you have a venting issue. A crimped or blocked vent line. It is the long white piece next to the blower housing in the back of the dryer. Always unplug the dryer before servicing it.

check the blower fan on inside of dryer. it sounds like something is wrong with it. this fan is where the dryer gets the air to blow it out threw vent pipe to outside. good-day !

Check the vent cap on the outside of your home to see what the air flow is like when the machine is on. It should be forceful enough to blow your haire back if you were to put your face in front of it. Make sure the vent hose behind the dryer is as short as possible and is not pinched or coiled. This definitely sounds like an air flow issue.

Puddles of water forming under the unit

clean out the dryer and the vent line, you need to clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into, vac out the inside where the motor is and if the vent line is long blow it out with a leaf blower, also check the outside vent to make sure nothing is blocking it.the hot moist air isn't blowing outside,it's stuck in the dryer and vent line, all a dryer does is remove the moisture out of the clothes by moving air,if the air can't move correctly themoisture has to go somewhere.let me know how you make out, also if it's gas do this once a year, electric once every two years so you don't have a fire

Dyer really hot, not drying clothes

Is the dryer tumbling? If not, you may have a broken belt or some other drive assembly issue.

Also, turn the dryer on and go outside to the vent discharge - you should feel air coming out at a pretty good clip. If not, the vent line is obstructed and will need to be cleaned out.

My dryer dosen't dry my clothes

Check the exhaust tube for obstructions. If this is a gas dryer it needs airflow coming and going through that tube. This is always the cheapest, easiest first step.

MY DRYER GETS HOT ON TOP OF THE DRYER (KENMORE) COULD IT BE THE VENT?

start dryer, go outside and see if vent is blowing hot air. If not then vent is clogged with lint, esp if vent has a curve or elbow in it. unhook vent at dryer or os vent and run a vacumn hose in as far as you can. easy way to determine if vent is to unhook at dryer and see if dryer blows air, could be just inside at vent opening
