when i put in a disc the lights come on but it just keeps spinning,and i have to eject to stop it,sometimes stalling my computer,i have tried lots of things i have seen on the net but,to no avail.anyone help,please

- Sir, I am having Acer 5000 Laptop. When I place any CD / DVD in the DVD ROM, only the light flickers without any action. I have enquired about this to my friend and he said that if the lens were dislocated, then this sort of problem may arise and added that he doesn't know the solution for this. Can you please help me.regards

ARE YOU TRYING TO LOAD A PROPERLY FORMATTED DISC??? IS THE DISC PLAYABLE ON ANY OTHER DVD IN YOUR HOME??? HAVE YOU RUN A LENS CLEANER IN YOUR SYSTEM??? HAVE YOU PREFORMED A SYSTEM RESTORE BEFORE THIS STARTED?
