Question about Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 Flatbed Scanner
I have installed the CanoScan LiDE 50 on my PC but when I start to scan I get the following error, "Error in scanner. Turn off scanner and follow instructions in manual. Scanner driver will be closed. Code: 2, 7, 0"
I dont have the manual so I cant look it up. can you help?
Has your scanner been working before?
If so, has anything changed since then such as new printers or other devices added to the computer, or upgraded to a new OS?
Which OS are you using?
When exactly does the error occur?
Does ScanGear open?
Are you able to preview?
Try connecting the USB cable to another port on the computer (directly to the computer...not through a HUB or any other device). Bypassing a hub, which would have to be a powered HUB, or other devices would rule out any issues with those devices.
Ultimately trying the scanner on another computer would rule out issues with the scanner as well.

I have been having this error intermittently with our Canon Lide 25 when it tries to calibrate itself. The way I get round it is by plugging the usb cable into another port and then scanning using the ocr option. Thats seems to flush the error out. Its a short term solution but does the job on the rare occasions I need to scan.
