Question about LG DLE2512W Electric Dryer

1 Answer

Lg tromm dle2512w electric dryer won't go past 6 or go to zero on sensor dry. We can't figure out where the moisture sensor is located. Is it along the inside edge of the outer portion of the lint trap and does it look like 2 parallel chrome bands?

Where is the sensor located on a lg tromm elect dryer

The moisture sensor is located in front grill area inside the dryer. If you look inside the drum where the filter screen mesh is, you will find 2 curved metal bars. Those are your moisture sensors.
Hope this helps.

Cracked drum lg tromm dle2512w dryer. is it worth replacing? dryer is about 3 yrs old

I'd say yes, especially if you replace it yourself to avoid a service call. Top needs to come off (screws at back, then push top back 2 inches and lift off), remove front, remove 4 screws holding front bulk head / front rollers, slip belt off tension pulley, remove drum, reverse to install.

LG DLE2512W Dryer says chech filter, starts, heats and turns but makes loud noise. Maybe something stuck? A sock?

Drying drum is not on its host. Lay down the dryer and then bolt it after aligning it.

LG Dryer Sensor

The moisture sensor is in the lint filter. Remove 4 screws from inside the drum and you have the sensor attached by 2 wires. On my dryer I disconnected then reconnected these 2 wires, reassembled the lint trap and auto dry works fine again

My DLE2514W LG dryer keeps running with 6 Min. Left

There is a humidity sensor (Hence the words Sensor Dry) inside the machine which trips out when it sees a lack of moisture in the air going past it.

It is not adjustable without special equipment

That sensor has failed and will need replaceing

My LG dryer gets stuck on six minutes. What can I do?

Easy fix. Wipe the capacitance sensing metal stripes located right below the inside of the filter. Make sure the 2 metal stipes are very clean. This measures the capacitance of the clothes and constantly records differences till the clothes are dry.if **** is on these then you would have failure. Porvavor.
