This morning I turned on the pc and it started as normal with the dell splash and then the windos xp splash the monitor then went blank and nothing happened. Rang dell support and they tested hard drive but the pc passed all tests. Software engineer tried few things but got nowhere. Have you any ideas???

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Do you mean your internet explorer window? You need to stretch the explorer window to the size you like, then close, it. IE remembers the size of the last window you closed, and then when you open it, it makes the new window the same size as the last 1.
Hope this helps.
