Green light keeps blinking after charging it and i turn the powere on also teh sound comes and goes from one side of the headset

Blinking green light is an indication the headset is trying to establist communications with the receiver (dongle). Sound issues are normally on the side where the microphone is, this is most commonly a broken wire. The speaker wires are very small diameter. This can be fixed by a competent soldering job with new wirest from PC board to speaker inside the headset.

Right speaker died due to a wiring flaw

I just dealt with one of these last month, its a ten minute fix if you have a soldering iron. The wire gets strained inside, they didn't allow enough slack in the wire for the movement of the earpieces. A quick resolder of the broken connection and a dab of hot glue to keep it from moving was all it took. Cost of repair was zero.

Sounds in the single side of the headset and sounds is not hearing in the other side of the headset

Hi khaleel_adon,
The most common caused of this symptom is the bad solder joints in the speaker of the affected parts. If you can take it apart check if one of the wire has it. Another is the open internal wire in the cable of the headseat. You may confirm it using a continuity check using an multimeter. Place the earphone to your ear, upon testing the end of the headset plug you will hear a scratching sound...
To confirm where the fault came from insert another headset to your unit. If the symptom does not appear in the new headsetm, above was a caused of the symptoms.
Hope I helped you.

No sound coming out of speaker

If there is no sound coming out of the speakers, first you check if the jack is properly hooked up, and try to adjust it in the device it is connected to. If it seems not to give any sound, then it means the speakers of the headset is bad, most likely the wires in it is disconnected or cut and mostly the best solution is for you to replace it with a new one.
If you do not want to replace it with a new one, i will advice you try to take it apart and solder the wires at the back of the speakers to make it work once again.

Hope this was helpful to you. Thanks for using Fixya.

My one keeps switching off

Hi, when one of the ear speakers an headset is not working, possible causes are that the wire inside the headset as cut and or it's loosing contact (not well balanced).

What to do is this, open the headset (the switching off ear), and check if the wire inside has not shifted. If is has shifted, That means, you will have to use a soldering iron and a lead to put it back in place.

I guess that will solve the problem..

Hope that helps.

Thanks for using fixya...

No audio thru the speakers, headphones only

you answered your question. let me explain: the head phone plug is a switch- that disconnects the speaker and only allows sound to the headset. the switch is either broken, loose-wire or dislodged.need to get inside the unit, You could of course get creative. put an adaptor to the headphone jack;the adaptor can now allow you to run wires to the speakers. adaptor is avail from radioshack-same size as on the headset.

Sounds both in head set and speakers

Solution:

i) try somother headset(if you have spare ones...with u), if prob still exists there must problem with sound port(inbuilt sound on your laptop) which is not allowing the wire or chord of your headset to completely plugin to your laptop sound port.....

it is like this  connecting wire is  paritally inside your laptop sound port and partially outside and leading to sounds from both laptop speaker(builtin) and the headset you are connecting.....

Thanking you

MDR-NC6 Sony Noisecancelling headset

I think I have it. I've only had a chance to listen to a couple of songs till the brand new headset's right ear died. I took it apart and found that when I hook up another speaker in parallel with the dead one, it works, which can only mean that the circuit is fine and the 'dead' speaker is really dead. No idea where to get a replacement though.

Had the same problem, no headphone speakers would work.
First use a flat head screwdriver and insert in between leather padding
and plastic case and pry apart. Best to start at one area, insert a wedge
and pry further along. It will take a bit of force before it pops apart.

Take out 4 small philips screws

I found that the wire had broke right at the entry grommet. I pulled the
wire through and wiggled it and the speakers went on and off.

In my case I felt it was best to redo all the wiring. I first took these pictures
to have a map and pulled through an extra 4" of wire through and cut/desoldered
the wires.
Here are the original wiring connections at the speaker
4017e98.jpg and what must be the common. This was the wire that was broken
inside.

I re-soldered all the connections and separated them as best I could with
electrical tape (no shrink). Put everything back together and so far
seems to work fine.

Right speaker has a shorrt

Access screws on headphones are sometimes under the ear padding, or maybe on the opposite side under a sticker or label. Sometimes the wire will have come loose from the internal speaker, or it could be the external cable has been abused enough that the copper strands inside have separated.
