The filter bag on centrex washing machine CTW 45270A does not collect any lint despite many wash cycles. Clothes come out with lint on clothes. What could be wrong.

Your reply was useless. I did not ask where the filter bag was. I asked why I did not get any lint in the bag. What a waste of $6.00

The lint trap is on the rim of the tub. I will investigate the solutions you mentioned.

  • Find your lint trap. Lint traps in washing machines can be in the agitator (the large plastic piece in the center of the tub), at the top of the washer on the rim of the tub, or attached to the washing machine's drainage hose.
  • 2 Pull out the agitator tube to check for the lint trap. Peel any loose lint from the filter. Scrub away lint that doesn't peel off easily with a heavy-duty paper towel or a wet sponge.
  • 3 Feel your way around the top rim of the washing machine's basin. If you locate a trap, pull it straight out of the machine. Peel away loose lint and follow up with a wet sponge or heavy-duty paper towel.
  • 4 Check your machine's drainage hose for an attached lint trap. Gently remove the trap and peel the top layer of lint off. Rinse the trap in low-pressure, warm water. Reattach to the drainage hose.
  • 5 Check for and remove any lint or debris that may have dropped into the washing machine basin during the cleaning process.

Where is your lint trap? Is it on the agitator or in the drain? If you don't have lint in your trap, then it is getting caught somewhere else. If you have the trap on the drain, then check buildup in the agitator. If your trap is in the agitator, then check the drain for lint buildup. Another place it likes to build up is behind the tub rim. If the lint isn't in the trap, it is building up some place else. There are some people out there who get a seperate trap then what the machine came with because of this problem.

Clothes are collecting a lot of lint when washing. Is there a lint filter? I have already tried running vinegar through a cycle.

not knowing the make and model,, I can offer you this ,, if your machine actually has a lint trap it will be located right before the pump under the machine, also,, try using a little more detergent, this helps cut down on the lint left in the machine and on clothes, if you reply to this feed i will try and locate your machine and check on the filter

    Prblems with Kemore washer

Clean your washing machine before your next wash load to be sure there is no lint trapped anywhere in the machine. Fill the tub about half full of water then add a couple of cups of white vinegar to the wash water. Allow it to agitate and then sit there and soak for at least an hour before you empty the machine.
Lint is small fibers from clothing that have come loose from natural wear or laundering. They can build up in washers and wreak havoc on your clothing. The dryer will remove the lint. But with clothing, like dress shirts that are air-dried, this can be a real problem; often requiring multiple washings to remove the lint. Older washers came standard with removable lint traps that could be cleaned. Some would filter the water as it recycled through the washer, while others would require the removal of the center tub support for cleaning.
Newer washers have a self cleaning system that uses a filter to trap the lint and the spin cycle to flush it away. It saves the inconvenience of having to manually clean the filter.
If you have a lint problem, here are a few tips to try:
    1) Low water pressure can impede the flushing action of the washer during the spin cycle. Look for pressure variations during filling of both hot and cold water. A kinked or blocked hose can cause this. Check for sediment in the hose as well.
    2) Verify that the all of the water is being pumped out of tub and that no restriction in the drain hose exists.
    3) Don't wash high lint producing items like socks and towels with your dress shirts.
    4) Use a name brand detergent. They have higher quality cleaners and soften the water better, which helps release the bond between lint and clothing, allowing it be flushed away.
    5) Don't overload the washer. Your washer needs water and room to remove the lint.
    6) Run a wash cycle with a cup of regular white vinegar added. This will help rid your washer of any accumulated lint.
A washer doesn't produce enough lint to have any effect on a septic system, so a separate washer filter is not necessary.

Add a cup of either white or cider vinegar to your washing machine along with the detergent before loading in your clothes to keep lint off.

Sort out all towels and washcloths since they create lint. Put them through a separate wash cycle to keep them from transferring lint to your clothes.

Check the labels on all your clothing to be sure you sort them correctly. Cotton clothing produces lint in the washing machine while polyester clothing picks it up. Wash them at different times to keep the lint off those that are likely to pick it up.

Turn your clothes inside out before putting them into the washing machine to keep them from collecting lint as they go through the wash cycle

Dog hair remains on clothes/blankets after washing

if you want suggested answers you have to provide make, model and type of washer ( top/or front load )
if it is a westinghouse , simpson, hoover or like make top loader , there is a lint catcher bag at the end of the center spindle cover that you simply pull up and unclip and turn inside out to clean
Soe put the detergent in that cover for the washing

Black lint on white clothes after wash. have cleaned filter. is a front loader.

Check both the apron, located in front of the drum for lint residue, as well as the drum itself for sharp points (gouges) which may have snagged clothes and collected the lint to the inner side of the drum. Also try running a full cycle with no load to clear any lint which may remain in the outer (non visible) drum.

    Washer not cleaning clothes

The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the drain pipe you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a good plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully.
On some models the filter is located ‘inside’ the big hose from the bottom of the tub. This takes more time to clean.

Next run your washer with 2 cups of bleach, hot water. After it starts agitating stop the washer & let it remain for 2 hours. Then continue the wash.
Try using powders for 'front loaders'

Clean LG WF-T652a Top Loader Washing Machine

I have this problem too and I solved it easily !!!!

I hypothesised that something was blocked by dried up lint/silt. So I filled the machine with very hot water and also poured hot water down the lint filter outlets. I left it for 5 minutes and then started a wash cycle - and the water now comes out of the lint filter ducts. ! :-)
