Solution #1

I have an older Caddy that began doing this in the RF speaker, so I now get good music from the rears only. ha
But I found a website for my car radio, and learned that my car has a separate amplifier for each speaker, located with the speakers, and that the popping was due to a bad amplifier.
Of course, I don't know anything about your radio, but you might begin your search by focusing on the amplifier.
