If problem show up only when the engine is running you have an ignition system or other engine related problem,if problem shows up only when vehicle is moving there could be a bad connection in the stereo wiring or a bad solder joint in the electronics,if it shows up when the vehicle is stopped with the engine off one or more power amps could be going or you have another defect in the stereo electronics. Have unit serviced by good audio electronics tech with the proper equipment or replace unit.

I have an older Caddy that began doing this in the RF speaker, so I now get good music from the rears only. ha

But I found a website for my car radio, and learned that my car has a separate amplifier for each speaker, located with the speakers, and that the popping was due to a bad amplifier.

Of course, I don't know anything about your radio, but you might begin your search by focusing on the amplifier.

No sound.

Read the manual. The radio may have been set to some defaults, although the time was not correct. When you started setting the time, it is possible that you should have run through the whole setup. For example some radios have different ranges for the FM bands: there is a Japanese band that starts at 76 MHZ, and ends at 108 MHz; there is the standard FM band from 88 MHz to 108 MHz; and a school band (I can't remember its range).
For AM the gap between neighboring positions may be set at 9 kHz or 10 kHz depending on the location (region or continent).
I suggest you get the manual and see if there is an initial setup procedure, then follow it.

Pure DAB radio making popping noise when switched on

My Siesta died with just a quiet popping noise and it definitely wasn't the power supply because I tried 3 and none worked. I was on the point of giving up when I thought I would give it a bit of John Cleese style encouragement and thwacked it very firmly with the palm of my hand. To my surprise it started working again. Problem solved.

My midland weather radio wr120 makes a loud beep about every 30 to 45 minutes. what is causing this?

I just caught mine in the act and the message was "BAD RECEPTION" - but it doesn't stay on the display very long, if you don't catch it right when it beeps, you'll miss it.

Got wet, display turns on, no sound

The salt water (you did say beach) shorted the innards. There is probably still salt in/on a lot of the electrical components causing shorts. Probably should give up on it.

Tivoli Model one radio - volume control does not go to quiet. I like to listen at night but volume does not lessen past a certain point which is too loud.

I noticed the same problem after I had moved. Hadn't had it before. The solution was easy in my case. (It took some time to accidentally figure it out though). I flipped the power cable around 180 degrees / upside down and re-connected. After this the volume worked as before. This was the model with European power plug.
