*There can be alot of dust inside the fan ducts and it has to blow harder to get the air flowing. I recommend you clean the cooling system.

Compressed air + vacuum cleaner

blow the compressed air from the other end while the laptop is turned off and have the vacuum on low / medium in the other end sucking the dust so it wont fly all over the room.

also another way is to take the laptop apart and clean the parts.

Did your ever notice is the blower the CPU is working. If not work so that's the cause of the heat. If the fan work use external fan that to use under the unit, you can buy it and your computer shop. If your using for longer hours heat will produce on the upper portion of the laptop mean i transfer. It is normal as long as the laptop OS doesn't hang. If its hang that's the big problem. Advice: use external blower to cold down the unit

My laptop fan getting too much noisy.its irtitaing too much

The fan is making that much noise because it has to spin faster to cool your laptop. It seems that your laptop is getting hotter than it use to , meaning you should clean the dust inside and it should fix you problem

Hey dudes/duettes. i have a dell inspiron 1501 laptop ...has an over heating problem.. and a very LOUD fan.. that drives me nuts. i am a bit cpu ****** just wonder how to fix these problems without...

Most likely the reason why it's hot is after five or six years, it's sucked in a LOT of dust and is blocking the fine metal fins of the heatsinks from the inside. As the parts get hotter, the fans automatically kick in.

There are ways to delicately pull apart the laptop to clean it out (I've done it plenty of times on numerous work/family/friends laptops) but if you're not experienced, you may have to ask for someone else to do it.

Here is the link to the online service manual from Dell if you're brave and skilful enough to disassemble it.

Let us know how you go!

Hi. I suddenly started hearing a whirring sound from inside my HP 6530b. And I think because of it my laptop seems hotter on the surface. Is it a fan not working correctly? What could that be? Thanks..

1.Check in your bios what your CPU and GPU temperature is.
2. make sure you have no CD or DVD in your drive.... as if it can't read this you will get a hot DVD drive !!
3. if you CPU or GPU temp is up .... you will possibly have a seizing bush on your internal cooling fan.
Hope this helps

My laptop fan runs constantly and loud also my computer seems to gey hotter quickly

Pull the access cover off of your fan on the bottom off your laptop and blow it out with canned air. Wipe off the fins of your fan and blow once again from the exhaust port where the heat blows out from when fan is on. You'd be amazed at how much dust is there. Reinstall cover and you should be good to go. : )

Today i started up my Asus N50V Laptop up and the fan is running continually now, I rebooted it and still no change. It never has done this before?

It is normal for the fan to kick in to cool the processor, but it sounds to me like the CPU fan and the air vents need a good cleaning.

Noisy fans and them running for a length of time means that its having to be on more to keep the processor cool.
Other causes of the fan being loud and on constantly is gaming and heavy programs. The more the processor has to work the hotter it will get, thus the fan being on all the time.

Have a look at your air vents and the CPU fan for dust. If you see any dust then you will need a can of compressed air to blast through the vents and CPU fan blades free of dust.

Removing the dust from the machine usually quietens them down.

My fan runs extremely loud on and off

It is set up to run if CPU gets warm/hot. Quiet normal.

If it didn't you would son know. One Cooked CPU with Chips. Expensive tak Away.

Some fans are noisey. You could go to the expense and have a replacement???

My laptop turns on and then it turns right off!!! HELP!

hi there
It seems your laptop computer is not cooled properly which might be beacuse of a broken cpu fan as you mentioned it makes loud noise.
The reason your laptop turns off by itself is because theres a circuitry built on the motherboard which power offs itself if the internal temperature raises, this is a safety feature to prevent your computer getting burnt.
Please avoid using your computer and take it to a shop where you can have it checked for cooling.
hope this answers your question

Loud Fan

Hi, I am afraid that your problem is common to this laptop brand/model. A reason is that it uses AMD Turion64 with reported nominal operating temp at ~50.0?c. At ~55.0? the CPU fan will kick in until the temperature stabilizes which unfortunately takes a long time due to the nature of the enclosed spaces in a laptop. Also lubrication will help improve the fan but will not solve the noise nor the turning on quickly, other than it's a complicated and tedious job opening the unit. Other users of the same model reports positive results by lowering the supply voltage of your process. The process is called "undervolting" and best described in Mr. Dan Zhang's guide at and tried at Hope that this give you an idea and pls post back how things turn up or if you need further information. Good luck and kind regards.
