*There can be alot of dust inside the fan ducts and it has to blow harder to get the air flowing. I recommend you clean the cooling system.

Compressed air + vacuum cleaner

blow the compressed air from the other end while the laptop is turned off and have the vacuum on low / medium in the other end sucking the dust so it wont fly all over the room.

also another way is to take the laptop apart and clean the parts.

with electronics never use anything wet to clean it.

Really need more information, but my guess is dirty fan. If fan is blocked by dust, it may make noise and may run at high speed all the time because the CPU is overheating. If CPU gets hot enough, the laptop will shut itself down without warning. If dust is the problem, get some canned air. Before blowing into the air vents, try to spot where the CPU fan is and gently insert a toothpick to block the fan and prevent it from turning. A long blast of compressed air can spin the fan too fast and burn out its delicate bearings. Blow air from underneath and also from the side vent until air blows clear. In some bad cases of dust, the bottom or top cover must be removed to get it all out.

I have a hp tx 2525nr. my laptop heats up too much sometimes it goes up too 100 and the fan is really loud.. is there a different way I can set up the fan speed or someway I can improve this?

When the CPU overheats then it will shutdown (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down.If this is the problem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes this problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan. If the fan and heat sink is clogged withdust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use acan of compressed air to do this.

Hi. I suddenly started hearing a whirring sound from inside my HP 6530b. And I think because of it my laptop seems hotter on the surface. Is it a fan not working correctly? What could that be? Thanks..

1.Check in your bios what your CPU and GPU temperature is.
2. make sure you have no CD or DVD in your drive.... as if it can't read this you will get a hot DVD drive !!
3. if you CPU or GPU temp is up .... you will possibly have a seizing bush on your internal cooling fan.
Hope this helps

My laptop fan runs constantly and loud also my computer seems to gey hotter quickly

Pull the access cover off of your fan on the bottom off your laptop and blow it out with canned air. Wipe off the fins of your fan and blow once again from the exhaust port where the heat blows out from when fan is on. You'd be amazed at how much dust is there. Reinstall cover and you should be good to go. : )

Fan runs all the time and is loud. Sometimes by tilting the unit the fan changes pitches. Laptop is used on a table and airflow seems adequate.

Hi,
Based on the information you provided there could be couple of reasons atleast: 1) Looks like the fan is having issues and needs to be replaced. 2) There is some CPU intensive programs (or background program . a virus?) running in the background.
You may want to run the Antivirus scan once to check for some unwanted background programs.
If it doesn't solve the issue, then probably the fan needs replacing.
Thanks and do tell if it did solve your problem.

Today i started up my Asus N50V Laptop up and the fan is running continually now, I rebooted it and still no change. It never has done this before?

Hi,

It is normal for the fan to kick in to cool the processor, but it sounds to me like the CPU fan and the air vents need a good cleaning.

Noisy fans and them running for a length of time means that its having to be on more to keep the processor cool.
Other causes of the fan being loud and on constantly is gaming and heavy programs. The more the processor has to work the hotter it will get, thus the fan being on all the time.

Have a look at your air vents and the CPU fan for dust. If you see any dust then you will need a can of compressed air to blast through the vents and CPU fan blades free of dust.

Removing the dust from the machine usually quietens them down.

Regards.

My fan runs extremely loud on and off

It is set up to run if CPU gets warm/hot. Quiet normal.

If it didn't you would son know. One Cooked CPU with Chips. Expensive tak Away.

Some fans are noisey. You could go to the expense and have a replacement???

CPU fan issues

The fan may not stay on all the time - its a feature of laptops to help save power. The fan is also variable speed. As the CPU gets hotter, the fan speeds up. When the CPU isn't being used as much and is cooler, the fan slows or even stops. It turns on to full speed when you first turn the laptop on as part of the BIOS system check.

The noise is another issue. You could have a broken "fin" or fan blade. The bearing could be going out. Something may have simply "crawled" inside the fan's output vent. In any case it may be worth your time to have a professional open up the laptop and look at the fan. I have heard a LOT of noisy laptop fans in my day, and believe me it's not the worst thing to put up with.

My laptop turns on and then it turns right off!!! HELP!

hi there
It seems your laptop computer is not cooled properly which might be beacuse of a broken cpu fan as you mentioned it makes loud noise.
The reason your laptop turns off by itself is because theres a circuitry built on the motherboard which power offs itself if the internal temperature raises, this is a safety feature to prevent your computer getting burnt.
Please avoid using your computer and take it to a shop where you can have it checked for cooling.
hope this answers your question
