I have been unable to send faxes to different numbers for months now. I keep getting Error 344. It always sounds like HP 3050 is able to go as far as establishing the connection and then it fails.
Please help. I need this for my business and can't afford to keep running out to a fax/copy place when I should be doing this from home.
The Number is dialed it says Connecting but never goes any further than that.
I tried adding in Pauses in the number that does not help. I can hear when the other FAX is Busy and it comes back with a FAX busy Msg. so I know it can Communicate with the other machine. It just doesn't seem to want to finish the job when sending?

During a V.34 transmission, the local machine is unable to connect (handshake) with the remote machine and is consequently unable to send a T30 frame. This occurs when the line is disconnected or if line conditions degrade during the session.
Remove any pass-through devices from the phone line, and then try the fax again.
Confirm that the fax/phone cable is no longer than required, and that it does not pass near unshielded electric motors such as fans, heaters, or household appliances.
Try to send the fax at a different time when telephone line conditions have improved.
Then the problem is most definately on the fax you're trying to send to, and not on your machine. If it works to all other numbers but not to that specific one, then you can shift the blame to the other guy.
