Question about Gateway 450ROG Notebook
Gateway 450 ROG gets no power from ac adapter and won't charge the battery. Have tested the adapter on another laptop and it is working. Only way I can use it is to use another 450 to charge the battery, then swap batteries when mine runs out. Support says it's a loose connection between the power supply and motherboard and motherboard must be replaced. Sound right? Is it repairable/worth repairing?
If it's still under warranty, it's definitely worth repairing. If not, get them to quote for the repair they say it needs before agreeing to it. If their quote is anything close to the current price, I would say it's not worth it.
