My TI-84 Plus Silver Edition's Y= has an unusual setting. What I mean is that the side figure gives me a Play, Fast Forward like settings, when I want it to be lines. Also, I can't input two functions at once.

You must have used the TRANSFRM application before. It remains in memory and takes over the graphing function from the native OS. You must unload it from memory.

  1. Turn calculator ON
  2. Press the [APPS] button.
  3. Scroll Up (faster) or Scroll down till you see :Transfrm in the list of applications.
  4. Highlight that line and press ENTER.
  5. The new screen invites you to Uninstall or Continue
  6. Press the number key that corresponds to the Uninstall option (1:Uninstall)
  7. Return to your [Y=] editor screen to verify that the style lines have changed to the "normal" ones.

If you mean the TI-83 Plus Silver Edition or the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, press MATH left-arrow 4 .

Changing faceplate on ti-84 i understand it can't be done but has anybody actually tried

Assuming you mean a TI-84 Plus Silver Edition, yes, I have. Simply pry up the tab at the bottom of the keyboard with a thumbnail and work the faceplate off from the bottom. Put the new one starting at the top and work your way down.

Cant play games on calc

This probably is not a problem with your calculator. A syntax error is caused by the program you are running. It just means that the game you have downloaded has a bug in the code and is unplayable. Check out TiCalc.org for a lot of working games and programs.
