Perfect! now the power of my printer C8180 is perfect. I am left with a single error due to some incorrect wiring. Scanner I will scan the image being captured but remain black. Have you any idea what happened? you have a photo printer card?

I was excited to find these postings about HP printers. My C6150 had similar problems. I opened it up according to suggestions and all went fine. Found 3 caps that were swollen so got new ones at a local supplier. I think I soldered them on ok - not the cleanest job but don't see any significant damage. I wasn't sure about how to tell polarity but it looks like all caps have an arrow-like stripe on one side and all stripes for all caps face the same way so I put new ones that way. Put all back together and all I get now is a whirling sound for a few seconds and then fast ticking - from the inside right where the print head carriage is resting. I can't move the carriage manually. Double checked all connections but still same sounds. Any suggestions? Thanks for great help.

Theres nothing in the drivers that would cause this unless the software was doing an update to the printers internal software
you could try a hard reset
1. Remove all cables, including:
2. Unplug the printer power.
3. Hold down # and 6 on the keyboard.
4. Plug the power cord back in. .

Try to perform these step as --->
  1. Without turning off the product, disconnect the USB cable from the rear of the product. NOTE: The USB cable connects to the port on the back of the product. The port is labeled with the USB icon (c01424575.gif ). Figure 2: Example USB connection (your product might not look exactly the same as this example)c01651067.gif
  2. Remove the cartridges from the product.
  3. Wait for the 'Insert Cartridges ' message to display on the control panel.
  4. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the product.
  5. Wait 60 seconds.
  6. Reconnect the power cord. If the product does not automatically turn on, press the Power button (c01602202.gif ).
  7. Reinsert the cartridges, and then close any open doors on the product.

HP Photosmart C6180 turns off and on repeatedly booting (looping) error message says to avoid damage use the on/off button when shutting down. do not use power strip or wall switch

Apparently some defective components were used in the construction of the logic board (see photo). On my C6180 there were 3 failed capacitors (the green cylinders - the puffed top indicates failure) and a 4th from the same manufacturer (TEAPO - many unfavorable web references to this manufacturer). I purchased 3x 330uF 16V and 1x 680uF 10v rated to 105 degrees Celsius (total about 60cents). On the logic board, the capacitors I replaced are labeled C613, C614, C660 and C662. If you are not comfortable replacing the parts yourself (or don't have a soldering tool), you will have to find someone who will. The time to repair should be less than 30 min - I did it in 25 min with only a solder pen. This fix stopped my printer from power cycling and also fixed the ink system failures the Printer was having.74b7f9c.jpg
I ordered parts from mouser.com, but DigiKey.com may have better prices. I ordered 3 of these and 1 of these

Will not power up , power cord checks out...?

for the power problems there is not reset for that.. if that power cable is working fine with the other printer then probably there is some problem with the port on the printer itself..

Press the On button to turn the printer off.
Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
Remove all the ink cartridges.
Wait two minutes.
Plug the power cord into the back of the printer.
Press the On button to turn the printer on.
Install the ink cartridges when prompted.
If the error code does not display, the issue is resolved.
If the 0xc18xxxxx or 0xc19xxxxx ink system error code displays on the front panel, service the printer.
good luck

HP C6180 all in one

Have an HP C6180 that would not turn on, no power. Unplugged and replugged the unit in the back - no fix. Unplugged the unit at the wall socket, reconnected and I thought I heard a faint click in the power supply. Hit the on button and the C6180 powered up - no issues. Without knowing for sure, possibly the power supply has some type of surge arrest safety switch.
