Question about Dryers

I have a kitchenaid electric dryer model kehso0pmt0 It will not start. I can program the setting and time and cycle I want fine.. but I hit the on button and it just does hte beepy thing it does when the door isnt closed all the way, or its too hot.. etc... I have tried flipping off the power, turning it off, etc... I am lost without my dryer... help!!!

The door switch may be broken. It is possible and common. The latch inside can get shorted out and fail.
A timer would be another common fault.

Unplug dryer and try bypassing the thermal fuse by taping the two wires together and plug back in and try to start. If starts replace thermal fuse.

check thermostat first (it have about 5-8 of them inside) check on continues. if this all of them fine, the you have to check heater on continues too.
also if this is electric dryer check if you have 240v in power outlet.

Replace the belt and all will work fine. The belt spins the drum

Dryer has power won't start cycle


Hi, check first the power outlet , if still does not turn and motor humming during starting time , test the capacitor with multi tester, disconnect two wire of capacitor if not reading replace capacitor .
