My computer windows XP can't see/recognize my garmin nuvi 1250. I just bought it .The garmin was made in Taiwan. I have intention to upgrade the map.. coz it is old map (2010).but I cannot register...

Assuming the Garmin communicator plug-in has been installed in the Internet Browser and registered at Garmin.com with a user account - the Garmin goes into (PC) communication mode when its connected to the USB port of a PC.

If that doesn't happen - i'd suspect the USB cable first.

Assuming the cable is ok - including the USB port of the PC - the Garmin must go into (PC) communication mode. If not the Garmin USB jack could be defective.

My computer will not recognized my Garmin. Need to download drivers cant find driver. Can you hlep?

What does the pc say when you connect it? Normally you wont need to install any drivers, try to change the usb port, most of the time this helps. (maybe you have to turn the gps on when you connect it.)

Windows XP is a very old system in computer years. You should probably try using on another computer that is running Windows 7 or Windows 10. If you check the Garmin website it will most likely support what I have described.

Windows XP will not recognize Garmin 200W

I had the same issue. I would plug it in and it would recognize the device then it would disappear.

What I did to solve the problem was to first turn on my Gamin 200w. After it was finished loading maps then I plugged in in to the usb port. My machine recognized the device without any problems. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium. Hope that helps.

The i3 comes with a 128MB micro SD card - first can you be more specific as to what you refer to as "not recognized"? Do the usb drivers install correctly and after installation is the i3 recognized by your pc once you hook it up with the USB cable? Is the micro SD card in place? Is it all the way in the slot?
