Are you sure it is the CCFL assemblies? Here is the service manual to figure out: http://elektrotanya.com/?q=showresult&megnev=LG%20&megnev2=L1960TR%20&kategoria=&kat2=all

I would look for bad caps and do some voltages checking first.

If you are going to DIY and have proper tools and know safety precaution then please read on:
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply (they should be replaced in a set), blown fuses; poor solder joints, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Lay the set face down on a packing blanket or something like that. remove the foot that it stands on and then the back of the monitor. There will be around 12 screws holding it on. Remove it carefully as there are always control boards attached in the molding. Locate the bulb, replace and put back together.

Tip

Fix the flashing monitor

If your monitor shows the image for just a second and gets dark, but the image is still there and is visible when you look at the screen under strong light, then your monitor has an illumination problem.
To fix this you will need screw drivers PH2 and a flat one, soldering iron, multimeter and an electronic parts supply shop at a short distance. Also, basic knowledge about electricity and ability to unsolder and solder things are needed. Old working light bulb and it's invertor from a scanner also help a lot.
Take precautions against accidents. Get rid of unnecessary objects, keep family members out of reach, wear rubber gloves.
Open the monitor. You have to remove the stand, some screws on the back and to unlatch very tightly latched plastic latches. With covers down, look for blown capacitors on the power supply board and replace them. Usually they are 1000uF/35V/105C, 470uF/25V/105C. If the problem persist, test the light bulbs connecting one at a time and turning on the monitor. Be careful not to touch any live part of the power board. Look if some of them will not flash. Replace if any. You may have to open the LCD to replace a bulb. Be careful not to break the LCD glass panel and keep parts covered against dust. Before assembly look for dust and other objects on the parts of the LCD. Remove with compressed air. Do not touch with hands, blow with mouth or clean with liquids. All these will make the image look awful.
If the inverter includes ceramic capacitor, replace it. Check the transistors of the inverter. Replace if faulty.

Yellow Spot on Dell IN2020M monitor due to heavy exposure of 100w bulb how to remove that?

No you cannot replace an individual LED, it's simply too hard for yourself to do it. The led is a sheet of led diodes and to replace one is very difficult, requiring lots of soldering etc. You should get it to a repair shop where they have spare exchangeable panels which is easier to replace. Also the yellowish colour is probably due to the pixel itself being burnt, not the LED light.

Syncmaster 912n red tint problem

Hello,

A red or pink tint on LCD monitors indicate that the back light florescent bulbs are about to go out. Just like on regular florescent these bulbs are just much smaller but burn out just the same. Check the date on the back of your monitor, if it is less than 3 years old then its still under warranty but if its not then its time for a new monitor. The bulbs can be replaced but it really is not worth the trouble.

How can I get the screen to light back up. I'm forced to use a flashlight to see anything

You may have to replace the screen if you can see things on the screen but have to use a flashlight this would be something I would change out. If you want to go deeper into it plug the monitor into another working computer and see if it works fine if that is the case then you are dealing with a video card issue. Replace the video card and go from there it should work fine from that fix. Thanks for using FixYa! do not forget to vote for me. John

Sony vaio desktop all in one back light not working

To fix your problem please follow the below given steps
Step1
Power on your computer and wait until there should be an image displaying on your LCD monitor. Look directly into the monitor from a distance of about 1 inch way. Cup your hands around your face to block out the light in the room and get a clearer view of the LCD screen. Check to see if there is a faint light visible in the screen, which will indicate that the cold cathode backlight has gone out, or no image at all, which will indicate a different problem.

Step 2 Check the manual that came with your desktopmag-glass_10x10.gif LCD monitor or navigate to the manufacturer's website and find the model of cold cathode bulb that the monitor uses as a backlight. Purchase a corresponding replacement bulb

Step3 Power off your computer and then remove the monitor cable from the port on the back of the computer case. Disconnect the monitor stand from the monitor either by pulling out the plastic latches or by removing the screws holding it to the monitor's casing.

Step4 Lay the monitor face down onto a stable work surface such as a desk or table. Take out the screws along the edges of the monitor's casing and set them aside. Lift the back side of the monitor case off of the monitor and set it aside. Check to see if your model of LCD monitor has the back light directly exposed on the lower end of the monitor or if it is hidden behind another plastic or metal piece.

Step5
Remove the screws holding the plastic or metal piece over the bulb if there is one present and set the piece aside. Check to see if your model of monitor keeps the bulb in a plastic casing or if it is soldered directly to the metal. Use a soldering tool to remove the solder or instead use a rotary cutting tool to cut into the clear plastic casing around the bulb if it is inside a case.

Step6
Slide the new bulb into the open spot on the monitor and either solder it in place or use a piece of tape to cover over the opening you made on the plastic casing with the rotary cutting tool. Place the metal or plastic cover back on if there was one and reattach the screws. Set the casing back onto the monitor and place the screws back in.

Step7 Put the stand back on the monitor and then reconnect it to your desktop computer. Power the computer on and wait for an image to appear on the screen to make sure the back light bulb was installed correctly.

Please rate me if this solution works for you

Thanks......Have a great time.

My screen is faded kind of like the backlight is out

Yes I can. Sounds like a laptop or flat panel display. Both have a small florescent bulb in them that backlights the screen.

If you can order the bulb the bulb is easy to replace.

Laptop/Monitor: Split the plastic case around the lid/monitor (if there are screws you will need to remove them - check under the rubber pads on the inside of the lid as they often hide screws underneath.)
Run a small knife or flat screw driver around the seam and the two halves will split apart. Once you have done so you can easily access the bulb - replace it - reassembly is reverse of dis assembly.

How do I take the cover off samsung 930B monitor

The front and back covers snap together. Some come apart easily others are very reluctant and will break some of the retaining clips as you pry the front and back apart. Usually this does not result in a problem as there are enough retaining clips to hold it back together.
Most of these do not need bulbs. Usually just replace the power supply electrolytic capacitors that are bulging.
