Question about Computers & Internet
You should have received a cable with a green plugh on either end. Plug one end in the color coded hole in the monitor and the other in the color coded hole in the back of the PC. If you've done all this, double click the speaker icon near the clock in the bottom right of the screen and see if the sliders are all up and there area no mute boxes ********** under those sliders.
You may also want to try onscreen menu for the monitor to see if there is an item for volume after your satisfied with the above settings and cable connections.
Sometimes a PC will have sound connectors along the backside of the case and also some towards the bottom that are horizontal to the floor. If there is some towards the bottom, that indicates you have an add in sound adapter card. when you have both switch the green plug from one to the other to check for sound. BTW, the best way to check for sound if everything is connected is to play a music cd. Don't forget that if you have a keyboard with extra keys one of those keys will control volume up or down as well a possibly mute too, so look them all over carefully.
If you uncertain about all this check with your local PC Guru for some over the shoulder coaching or have a local tech come by and check your system setup for that and any other problems they can inspect during an hour if that's how they charge. Most are happy to help within reason to earn a new good customer.
