No matter what humidity setting humidifier is on it no lomger collects any water model# maytag m7dh6582a*a

Most likely the compressor is not running. This unit has been in service for some time as most of the replacement parts have been discontinued. There are some common parts that are generic that can be found like the capacitor and PTC relay & overload but this would require someone troubleshooting the problem of the compressor not running and determining which part has failed. Then to get COMMON parts it would be a matter walking into an apliance parts supply with part in hand to find them. If the controller has failed.. it is not available. If the fan motor has failed it is not available. The usual failures are as stated above, capacitor, PTC relay & thermal overload. Some one will have to remove the cover of the compressor terminals measure input power, inspect the PTC relay, thermal overload, wiring, terminals on the compressor, then measure the compressor windings for resistance and grounds to the case of the compressor.

If one of the common parts that are generic has failed you can repair this unit. If the controller, compressor or fan has failed your looking at replacing the unit.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,
Kelly

How do I clean Hitachi Tower Fan Model CF26PH? There doesn't seem to be a manual online in English and it's filthy inside. Can I just pull off the grill?

The easiest way is to take an air compressor and blow out the dust internally first through all of the vents. Then just take a damp cloth with a water/soap mix or some cleaning product that can be used on the plastic and just wipe down the outside. I recommend using the air compressor outside. If you don't have an air compressor available to you, then the cans of compressed air will work too.

Let me know how this works out for you.

My fridge is clicking on and off all the time, so won't stay cold! Help!

The clicking sound is a Thermal Protection Disk switch on thee Compressor. If your system is low on freon and has a leak the system pressure drops and the compressor gets hot and thus the Thermal switch is trying to protect thee compressor. You should not try and run it until you have a Appliance Tech check it for a leak and or System pressure check. Also you may need to clean the coils underneath if it is that type of unit that has a fan to cool off the bottom condenser coils. Hope this helps.

Oreck xl 9100 how to replace the fan

Hi,
I just replaced the fan (plastic) on an XL9100. I assume you got the bottom plate off (5 screws).

Undo the single screw holding the suction housing in place.

Remove the two screws holding the motor in place and gently lift the assemble up, being careful not to stress the wires. The motor and fan assembly should now be exposed. If the nut holdling fan in place is removed, the whole fan should slide right off. If it does not, try a little WD-40 on the shaft and wiggle and move from side to side. (I slipped a small drill bit between the motor fan (motor cooling fan) to prevent the shaft from turning when you remove the nut.) Be sure you turn the nut counter-clockwise to remove it.

You should now have the fan off. Reverse the procedure to place the new fan - following the directions carefully as some assemblies need a washer and "feathered" washer on the top.

Assuming everything went well, it should work.

My 9100 sucked a magnetic bearing and trashed the metal fan to where suction was weak. The new fan works great.

Cheers

Roomba Discovery 4120 barely moving

I don't have the same roomba that you have, but I had a lot of dog/cat hair stuck on the fan in the trash bin section. Once I removed that it started to work again. I used an air compressor to give it a really good blow out.
Here is a link that might help you out.
