You can use EPM(easy printer Manager) or smart panel. These files can down loaded from the samsung site. install and run in the PC it will show the status of the printer.
The red light blinks and printing is possible means get ready to replace the toner cart. with a new one.
Thanks. Printer Support SAMSUNG India
A red blinking light on a samsung printer will often indicate that your toner level is low. It will still continue to work until the toner fully runs out. This is Samsung's warning saying that you should think about changing your cartridge soon. I hope this helps.
The green light blinking means that it is accepting or printing data. But, the red light is for the error messages. This blinking means there is a toner problem. 1. remove toner cartridge from printer and gently shake to redistribute any that is left, or 2. You simply have to replace the toner cartridge with a new one - this one has been exhausted.
Yes, you can make a self print test from the printer even if the printer is not connected to the computer. This means that the unit is in good working condition. Possibly your printer doesn't communicate with your computer. try this, hit start key>control panel>fax and printers>select your printer>right click to properties>click ports tab>check if the port is matched to the port you are using.also, make sure it is your default printer.
Maybe the toner is low... According to the manual, a blinking red light:
• A minor error is occurring and the printer is waiting for the error to be cleared. When the problem is cleared, the printer resumes printing. • The toner cartridge is low. Order a new toner cartridge. You can temporarily improve print quality by redistributing the toner. See page 8.3. • The toner is totally exhausted. Remove the old toner cartridge and install a new one. See page 8.4. • The toner cartridge reached the end of its life.
no, I have paper....the red-light on the top keeps blinking.....
I have used akums-razor to determine the answer.....
sol: push and hold down the orange button for 3-4 secs and wait for a print-out. It will give you the staus of the toner cartdg. MINE REPORTS A LOWWWW LEVEL. ( the orig. cartridge gives the user only about 1000 sheets and mine is around 783. This is why I think the light came on to tell me to jump in my Lexus, get down to Best Buy, and get another ( more capacity) new cartridge.... cool, huh?:>))))
