Question about LG KU990 Viewty
I keep getting lots of unwanted text messages. Is it possible to block the number sending these messages on the LG Viewity handset? I've had a samsung in the past and this has that feature. I managed to block the number for phonecalls but the text messages still come through. My network provider is unable to help.
Go into call settings then common settings then call reject. I have given my unwanted number a group name and then blocked that group! Hope it works. There is also a service security thing in messaging which lets you set up trusted and untrusted lists. I am trying this also.

Hi under current legislation in the Uk it is an offense for a company or individual to continue sending text to your Phone if you have requested them not too.
firstly if they are company send STOP, or Stop or stop to them as indicated in their text.
then inform your service provider of the "Nuisance" text and number, they are obliged to monitor, block and report the sender.
Then if this does not work contact the police, it is a disturbance of your peace in that it creates 'annoyance and distress', these words must be used when contacting police and the police must be informed that you have contacted your service provider who refuse to block the calls/Texts.
finn at the same time report the offending texter/caller to ofcom, this will force your service provider to use their computers to block the offending texts and calls.
they will always say that they cannot block calls but the telecom act give you rights against them and the must comply.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
Here's a link to this great service

1 Call you cell phone service provider and tell them that you want to block text messages from a certain number. Your provider will stop all texts coming from that number
Reply to an unwanted text from a company or organization with "unsubscribe." If you're getting SPAM texts, this should make it stop.
Check out the website of your cell phone provider and look for the option of logging into your account. Most companies allow users to set up preferences in regards to their text messaging, including blocking certain numbers.
Change the text message settings on your cell phone. Depending on the model you have, you may be able to block certain numbers just by changing your settings
