Where is my pump filter whirlpool duet front load washer

When your Whirlpool washing machine won't drain, there's a possibility that the drain filter is clogged. The drain filter is designed to catch lint, change, credit cards and all the other things that find their way into the washer. Whirlpool washer models that have a drain pump filter are easy to disassemble so that you can access and check it. Before you go to the minimal amount of trouble it takes to check the filter, however, take a look at the drain hose behind the washer to ensure it isn't kinked.
1 - Unplug the washing machine. Lift the front end and place two-by-four blocks under each foot to keep the front elevated. 2 - Unscrew the three screws at the bottom of the panel, using a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the panel. The drain pump assembly is directly in front of you, in the middle of the machine. 3 - Unscrew the knob on the drain pump by turning it counterclockwise. Hold a bucket in front of the pump while you remove the knob to catch the water. There may be as much as 2 or 3 gallons. 4 - Turn the knob over. The filter is on the back. Check the filter and remove any debris or lint. Replace the drain filter onto the pump. Screw on the access cover. Take the machine off the blocks and plug it in.

Wont drain and tries to spin but wont stops flashes an F/ no numbers

Hi Edward:
Does this occur on all cycles? Usually a draining problem stems from an issue with the power supply, the position of the drain hose or a clog in the drain filter.

F variables (other than FH, F02, and SUD) just means a electrical problem.
Select PAUSE/CANCEL twice to cancel the cycle. Select DRAIN/SPIN if there is excessive water in the washer.

Turn off the water supply at the faucets, which are usually recessed in a square compartment in the wall behind the Kenmore Elite washer. Unscrew the inlet hoses that connect the water faucets to the washer. There is a mesh screen inside the hose. Make sure it is not clogged.

Uncurl the water hose if it is wound too many times, restricting water flow. Remove any kinks or bends in the hose that could be blocking water flow.

Re-select cycle and select HOLD TO START. If the problem remains, call for service, because could sound like perhaps the control board go to bad. Unplug it first, let it discharge (usually around 4 min) and then have a go at it again.

I hope that it will help to solve the problem, or will serve as a starting point to initiate a diagnostic work.

FH IS FLASHING ON THE WASHER AND IT HAD STOPPED WORKING ONLY 5 MNUTES INTO ITS CYCLE

Hello,

The FH error code means the computer on the control board didnt detect any water entering the washer..sometimes it doesnt detect the water entering because the filter screens on the water inlet valve are clogged with sediment and water is having a hard time entering the washer.

The filter screens can be checked by turning off water at the faucets and disconnecting the fill hoses from the back of the machine and pop the scrrens out of where the hoses connect at the washer and check for blockage in them. If they are found to be clean check the water coming out of the hoses before connecting them back to the washer...if the screens are clean and water pressure is good out of the hoses the part of the washer called the FLOW METER would need to be replaced

Unscrew the front bottom panel, 3 screws underneath. You can drain the water out maximum by the drain pipe you see & refit the cap. The filter sits right in front and just unscrews. After you have checked the filter make sure both water valves are turned on, clear the error by pressing pause/cancel twice. Check to make sure the drain hose is not kinked and that there is no siphon problem, meaning your exit hose is not too deep into the drainpipe. If the error still returns after checking the above, the next thing to suspect is the flow meter itself. This sits right in line with the water inlet valves. It's just a reed valve that measures the amount of water entering the washer and monitors the pressure switch. You can access it by removing the top and it will be on the left side in line with the inlet valve. Look for holes in this tube, change if any.

The washer is not pumping out water..code is OE ??

OE, means your drain is clogged, or the hose is kinked up. What you need to do, is get some towels and and tupperware bowel or a long pan. You'll need to open the front access door on the bottom. You can manually drain the water with the small hose on the left, or you can drain it from unscrewing the big cap. If you unscrew the cap, you'll need to unscrew it slowly, so the water does not come rushing out.

Once you drain the water, go ahead and pull that cap all the way out, and see if there is anything stuck in that filter, if it is, pull the debris out. Start your washing machine, and try the Rinse+Spin cycle, and start it up. See if you get the error code anymore.

If this does not solve your problem, you may need to call for service, or go a step further in accessing the drain motor, via removing the front cover of the washing machine.

Let's try to above steps first, then we'll move forward if that does not fix your problem.

Fh error on kenmore he washer. Washer stopped mid cycle and would not drain. Pulled filter in lower front and water drained but now when I try to run a cycle no water flows and I get a fh error. I changed...

The following link may give you a bit more advice on how to troubleshoot the "FH" error code:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r615354-fh_error_code_whirlpool_duet_kenmore

The problem with this error code is the multiple things that can cause it to be generated. This can often be a bit tricky to troubleshoot. You mentioned you checked the drain pump filter. Keep in mind, if anything had been lodged in the pump impeller for any significant period of time, this could have caused irreparable damge to the pump. If the drain pump is not working, the washer will not begin a wash cycle.

I was going to recommend checking your drain hose placement for a possible siphoning situation, but you stated you had no water coming in. A siphoning situation would allow the washer to attempt to fill, but it will experience problems maintaining the proper water level.

You also mentioned you replaced the water inlet valve. Not to undermine your technical abitlities, but did you install it correctly? Verify your installation again to be sure.

Read through the link provided and look at some of the follow up comments from other users. Although, you say your flowmeter may be good, there seems to be a noted problem with them. One consumer explained to me once to make sure the flowmeter is vertical. If it is horizontal, this can also cause problems. I don't know how true that is, but its worth a try.

Another thing to consider are clogged screens in the water inlet hoses. This could be restricting your water flow. Comments from Andrewgrhogg are especially helpful on how to troubleshoot a possible water inlet valve problem.

I hope I've given you enough the go by. Let me know if you still need assistance.

Why does my Kenmore Elite 45986 flash FH

“F02” is a Long Drain error. If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes this error code will be displayed. In addition, a “SUDS” error may also be generated as a secondary error. This is an indication of a drain pump problem and/or clog in the drain line. You will need to check the following:

1. Check the drain hose to make sure it is not kinked or clogged.
2. Check the electrical connections to the pump and ensure the pump is running.
3. Remove the drain pump filter and check for foreign objects and/or debris.

To check the drain pump, click on the following link for step-by-step instructions.

If the above procedures do not correct the problem, it is recommended by the manufacturer to replace the drain pump

FH flashing

it's because of the flow meter. This is a reed device that sits in line with the water inlet valve and monitors the water coming into the machine. Things to check; make sure both water valves are on and that the inlet valve screens are clean. (You get to them by removing the hoses to the washer). The drain pump filter is clean. (Remove the bottom panel and unscrew the pump filter and clean out). The inlet valves are actually working. That the drain hose is not too far down the standpipe causing a siphon. All the harness connecting to the inlet valves, pressure switch, drain pump, flow meter and main control are seated properly. You will have to remove the top to get a look at these. Three screws on the top backside and it slides of toward the back. If all these things check out. Then I would suspect the flow meter itself.

Hoypoint aqxx149 not draining water and leaking

You need to check the outlet hose of the washer, make sure it is not kinked or restricted in any way.
Check the pump filter which is located behind a removable front plastic panel at bottom of m/c.
Unscrew the scews and remove the filter by unscrewing anti clockwise, be careful as there will be some water run out., clean filter and replace it
Check inlet hose for leak, and dispenser hose for soap blockage.
PLz rate my solution.
Thanks.
