Question about LG WD-3243RHD Front Load Washer / Dryer

1 Answer

On the spin cycle the machine is making a lot of noise. Could something be lose on worn to cause this. We have tried to stop the machine and reposition the load, but it did not help. The machine is just noisy, but not vibrating any more than normal.

The spin bearing or basket drive may be worn or seized. These components allow the inner tub to spin freely inside the outer tub. When this is the problem, you usually hear a loud sound during the spin cycle. If the bearing is getting out of its way then its faulty weak motor causing this.Check out both the bearing and the motor. Noisy spinning

First make sure that the load is balanced, if you are washing and spinning a dense load like trainers etc this can cause an imbalance. If you are washing a duvet cover or a pillowcase, make sure that the loose clothes washed with it haven't migrated inside the cover or case, this happens so easily. It is always worth checking that the support feet are all touching the ground when the washing machine is empty as this can cause excessive noise
hope this helpsKind regards ki

Recently my washing machine has been making a lot of noise on it's spin cycle now it will not tun making a humming sound and smells odd when I try to turn it on?!

I had a Maytag washer almost 5 years old that sounded like a Jet Engine taking off during the spin cycle. It was the Tub Bearing - there are kits to do this yourself. To hire someone it would of cost almost as much as it would be to buy a new Washing machine. Never again Maytag - it was whats inside that mattered so I bought an LG washer.

If you let it go too long your going to wind up flooding underneath the washing machine with Brown gunk

GLEH1642DS1 FRONT LOAD STACKABLE WASHER MAKING LOUD THUMPING NOISE IN SPIN CYCLE & SQEALS WHEN i STOP IT

Sounds like you have an unbalanced load. I know this sounds too easy but lots of times this is the issue. If it doesn't help then you could have a bearing issue where the belt goes around a pully under the tub itself. If so you will have to replace the pully itself and perhaps the belt if it's gotten worn too much.

When in spin cycle machine makes a very loud whining noise

Most common cause for your whining noise is because the seals have failed/worn and allowed water into the bearings..Rusty ball bearings are not smooth...Hence the noise.....Probably needs bearing/seal and probably shaft replacement....Big job..Get quotes....Good luck...Nomess

Check your belt it may be lose. A lose belt will cause a squealing noise and the machine spin slower or take time to come up to full speed

The rubber belt is worn and slipping under load. (like a fan belt)
There could also be something caught in the belt or pulleys; clear it out and it should work.
If worn, replace belt soon...

Hope this helps!
