I dont no that you can boot it back back unless you have a system restore you can run a mantainance yourself run an
antivirus then click start run type cmd then type in chkdsk/f which will automatically fix any corrupted files on the hard drive, defragment your hard drive then run a registry fix
hope this helps

Press either delete or f2 during the boot up process to enter BIOS the scroll down to advanced bios features press enter change your first boot device to cd,press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart this will re-install windows from your operating system disk if your computer came with a disk

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

If you're willing to lose all of your data (files, bookmarks, etc.) then what you want to do is a "system restore" or "factory reset." That will reset the contents of your computer's hard drive back to the day you bought it. You will need to boot off of the recovery partition or the restore CD/DVD that came with the computer. Some computer come with one or the other. A call to tech support can talk you through it.

Just bought a bew logitec keyboard a 200...I pluggedit in, rebooted my computer and it still doesn'tlight or type next...

try the keyboard on another computer. If the keyboard is working on another computer then that means there is an issue with the usb port on your original computer.

If the keyboard doesn't work on another computer then you know the keyboard is dead and you need to bring it back to the store so you can get another one.

Acer factory backup does not start my computer

I have the exact same laptop as you. I've had this problem before. I bought the DVD's from Acer to reinstall everything and there are times when they don't work. I left it sit for a week and it stayed on the same screen. I would just keep trying, or order the DVD's from Acer. It will cost about $30 but might be your only chance.
I don't know if this is a flaw of this computer or not, but even with a different HDD in it it does the same.

I bought 1 GB of Ram ddr 400 for my dell dimension 2400

it might be not compatible.
Do you have the older memory inserted? If yes is it the same speed as the new one you bought?
Is your laptop front side bus capable of a speed of 400 Mhz?
Try to remove the old Ram and use the new one only!

Reboot the computer and during startup start pressing the F8 key until the boot menu appears. Then select "Last Known Good Configuration". The PC will reboot on it's own and hopefully be fixed. Hope this works for ya.
