Here are two likely fixes:
1. Go to Control Panel | Internet Options | Connections | LAN Settings
and clear all of the boxes.
2. Re-create the Winsock2 registry entries:
a. Un-install ICS (if installed).
b. Un-install Dial-Up Networking. Don't reboot.
c. Delete registry key HLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Winsock2
d. Re-install Dial-Up Networking. Reboot.
e. Re-install ICS (if desired).

Whoever wrote the web-page that you are trying to fetch
has INCORRECTLY created the web-page.

> MSIE 8.0, Windows NT 5.1 ..

Microsoft Internet Explorer 8, running on Windows XP (Windows NT was '4.0', and Windows 2000 was '5.0', and Microsoft just "tweaked" Windows 2000 to produce Windows XP, so you get '5.1', instead of '6.0').

What's the URL of the webpage that does not work?

How do I make sure your browser is set to allow saving encrypted pages to disk?

Just make sure you have web site caching turned on. In Internet Explorer -Open the Tools menu -Go to Internet Options, under general tab "Browser History", Settings -Select one of the top three, Automatic over Every time you visit a site or start Internet Explorer -Next go to "Advanced" tab and down to the "Security" section and make sure "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" is NOT CHECKED

Can anybody help me figure out why I get the below message and how I can fix it? Thank-you Webpage error details User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0; .NET CLR...

Internet Explorer 7 cannot display a particular element on a Web page on that Web site.

Workaround 2 loadTOCNode(2, 'moreinformation'); You can turn off friendly HTTP error messages in Internet Explorer. This workaround still lets the error message appear. However, Internet Explorer does not move away from the page after the error occurs. This workaround works only for Internet Explorer 6.

To do this, follow these steps:
  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
  2. On the Advanced tab, click to clear the Show friendly HTTP error messages check box under the Browsing section, and then click OK.
  3. Close the browser.

Within Internet Explorer, click Tools, and Internet Options, and then delete all temporary Internet files. Close Internet Explorer.
Re-open Internet Explorer.

Is it just one person's FACEBOOK web-page that causes the problem, or does the problem occur on *ALL* FACEBOOK web-pages?

Does the problem occur *ONLY* when accessing FACEBOOK web-pages?

If you're using an older version of Internet Explorer, upgrade to IE7 or IE8.

If the error-message occurs *ONLY* when accessing that one 'MCA.GOV.IN' web-page, then there is a problem with that web-page, and there is no problem with IE8.

Hi, I keep getting this everytime I try to pay for something online by card. ''Navigation To Webpage Was Cancelled'' Any Ideas?

From Microsoft: "you may experience a problem when you visit some Web pages that are in different Internet Explorer security zones. When the problem occurs, you receive a message that resembles the following: Navigation to the webpage was canceled
This problem occurs if the navigation causes Protected Mode settings to change from On to Off. You can determine which Internet Explorer security zone a Web page is in by looking at the status bar at the bottom of the Internet Explorer 7 window.
This problem occurs because Internet Explorer 7 switches Protected Mode settings when certain Web pages are configured in the Trusted Sites area of the Security tab of the Internet Options dialog box. By default, Protected Mode is set to Off for Web sites that are configured in the Trusted Sites area"
