I am at my wits end with this TV. I have replaced the 7 caps on the DM board (That appeared ok but I replaced anyway) and the Convergence IC on the main board behind the big heat sink. Each fix has made small progress into fixing this but it still wont fire up. All fuses are good and have checked the switched voltages also (good). Had a lot of help from another forum but it still does not want to come on. Plug it in and the green led flashes for 45 seconds and goes out. Turn the power switch on and the led lights for 3 seconds and goes off. Did the error code test and it flashes code 12 (No error detected). I am ready to push this thing in the road in front of a bus. Any suggestions as to what may be a step to take that may have been overlooked?

The dm power board is the small board shown in the illustration below it has the 7 capacitors on it and its located inside the metal box on the far left side of the TV when looking in the rear cover. The metal box stands up vertically
I am the one here who first posted about taking the front keyboard out; if you replaced the caps in the DM unit and or pico fuses and still have the 'blinking green light of death" consider sending the board unit to PTS electronics.
You can get a quote from them for the repair and they have a 800 number; if you tried the usual things and it does not work go that way. Even with the factory service manual and schematics you will find it nearly impossible with the Unit in the set to take voltages and troubleshoot it.
DM unit in correctly working set should cause set to have blinking power light for about 70 seconds and then go out--it is DM booting up---if it does not stop blinking either a problem with DM or connections where it plugs into main board.

Thats a very common problem caused by weak caps on the DM board when power is lost they drain and then cannot recharge when the power is restored the WS55511 DM repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com will usually solve that issue. The kit contains the caps and the cd with instructions.
they are located inside the DM modules case( Metal Case on far left side ) open the metal case and you will see 7 caps on the DM power board. I am posting a pic of the board with the 7 caps that need replacement use 1000UF 25V caps to replace the 1000UF 16V caps that are currently installed.
Thats caused by the 7 capacitors on the DM power board. They discharge when the power is lost and then cannot recharge when power is restored and the indicator light will blink non stop indicating the DM has not completed the boot sequence. Replace the DM caps. The WS48511 - WS65511 DM repair kit is the correct repair kit for your model. You can get the repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com
Hi, Most likely it is capacitors on the dm board that have gone bad. This is a fairly common problem and has been addressed on fixya many times. If you know someone who is good with soldering and technically incline or even an honest electronics guy then the repair is quite cheap. If you have any other questions please let me know. if its not the capacitors on the DM supply then its a problem with the whole DM assembly that part usually is around 300$. So you may want to consider purchasing a new tv. Trying the 7 caps on the dm supply board shouldn't cost much if it takes anything more then that. I would sell the tv on craigslist or ebay and recoup as much as you can towards your next tv. thank you, lee Thank you, lee
Good Day, LED does not stop blinking after plug in. Check for 12 volts at connect or PF pin 10 and 28 volts at connector PF pin 11, (on the board on the right hand side, but on the left side of board towards the back of TV). If the supplies are correct suspect a problem in the DM Assembly (part # 955C230002). Part is not available for replacement.
Check C9B01, C9B02, C9B03, C9B13, C9B14, C9B17 and C9B18 (1000 UFD, 16V, 105C) on the DM Power PCB located within the DM Assembly. If they are bad or not, replace them all with part # 181P734030 (680 UFD, 16V, 105C). The DM (Digital Module) Assembly is located on the extreme left of the chassis from the back. It is standing in a vertical position. Remove cover and you see the Cap’s in one corner of the inside PCB. Good Luck, Big IRISH.
I have seen this only 2 times----you may be able to unsolder and remove the reset micro switch---you have to remove the whole screen to get at it---the micro switch board may not be available---the switches can be tested with a ohmmeter set to high end and of course should not have a reading across them--I bet the reset switch is bad--you can remove it and put the keyboard back---most of the Mitsubishi sets use the same type of switches--Only other thing is leave the keyboard disconnected and just use the remote.
Did you check the caps on the DM board? They usually go bad after a period of time. Remove the DM board and the metallic cover and there should be 4 to 7 capacitors (There are different revisions of the DM board). Check these caps also, replace if needed.
