Remove the back panel and check the heating element with an
ohm meter. (continuity Test) The one
with the two big red wires attached to it
also the thermal switch just above the element on the element case.
If you can't use an ohnmeter take the parts to your local appliance center and they will check them for you.

Kenmore dryer blows cold air. I replaced heat element still no luck? model 96263800

It doesn't necessarily mean the heating element is busted when an electric dryer stops heating. The heating circuit is not just composed solely by the heating element, it is composed by the thermal cut-off, high-limit thermostat, cycling thermostat, motor centrifugal switch, and the timer. The first thing to look at when an electric dryer stops heating is the thermal cut-off. It cuts power to the heating element when it blows most likely due to the failure of the high-limit thermostat. The thermal cut-off must be replaced, together with the high-limit thermostat, if found open. Click on the link below for the detailed instructions in troubleshooting this problem.

Problem with Dryer Timer or heating element

The heat cycle must be working for the timer to advance in the Auto Dry setting.
Your heating element and or high limit thermostat is bad.
We need a complete model number to be more specific.

Electric dryer wont heat or turn off

there could be a temperature switch that tripps off. look at the diagram and trace also the power to the timer motor. it seems that you lost your power to your timer motor that is why the timer stays @ what ever setting you set it.
