hi there.
If the washer won't drain there might be a clogged pump or hose. It's common for small socks or other small clothing items to get into the water drain system and clog the hose leading to the pump or the pump itself. Remove the hoses from the pump in order to remove the article of clothing.
If the washer won't drain the pump belt might have broken or might have worn out. Check the belt and replace if it shows signs of excessive wear.
Drain Pump
If the washer won't drain water the drain pump might be defective. It's also common for a small sock or other article of clothing to get caught in the drain pump or in the drain hose. Check both for an obstruction before replacing the pump.

Drain Hose
If the washer won't drain water check the drain hose. Be sure the hose did not get kinked behind the washer. Also, remove the hose from the pump and check it for obstructions.
Coin Trap
If the washer won't drain the coin trap may be clogged. This washer is equipped with a device near the water pump called a coin trap. The purpose of this device is to trap any foreign materials that make their way down the drain. Normally, the coin trap can be accessed through an access panel. It is designed with the homeowner in mind and is normally easy to clean out.

Machine is making a loud clicking sound and will not spin out clothes

you need to check the main drain pump and all the hoses leading to the pump for any thing that will obstruction the flow or operation of the pump.Be sure to remove the drain hose that comes down from the tub to the drain pump and remove the plastic coin trap and clean it out.depending on how much close you do the coin trap should be clean about once every 6 months or sooner if you do alot of clothes.

Water not draining after the wash cycle

Sounds like either you have a blockage in the drain pump or the drain hose is blocked.
The washing machine will run the drain pump for about 2 to 3 minutes to empty water from the drum then stop automatically.
If the pump is blocked or the drain hose blocked or kinked then water will be left in the drum.
Blockages are usually caused by buttons, bra wires or metal objects from pockets eg coins.
The pump can be popped open using simple tools ie screwdriver and any obstruction removed easily. The drain hose can be detached and a metal object eg knife dropped through to test for a blockage.

Moldy smell

Possible explanation: Some water is left in the hose going up to the drainpipe b/c the pump can only pump water with water, not air... so when the last bit of water is sucked up, it 'stays' just the other side of the pump exit nozzle and keeps the drain tubefilled. This water gradually leaks thru the drain exit valve and back into the machine, sometimes siphoning standing water in the drain trap with it.

The problem is design. Not all of the water is getting out after each cycle and not all of the soap gets fully dissolved. After awhile, this mucky slime gets 1n the drain hoses, pump and filter - and they all smell musty - especially when the machine sits empty with the door closed between loads.

You need to clean the innards of the machine by doing a load without clothes on hottest setting (Whites) and depending whether the smell is bacterial (add 1 cup White Vinegar), fungal (add 1 Cup Bleach) or clogged filter (add 1cup Arm and Hammer with 1/4 cup SALT), this should do it

(Vinegar for Bacteria, Bleach for Fungus and Arm and Hammer with SALT to soften and loosen the slime)

Choose from above (not all 3 at once tho) and fill the machine with water and let run without clothes.

I would do the A&H with salt first, let cycle complete, then restart and add a cup of Vinegar, tel cycle finish then redo with 1 cup bleach

After treatment, leave the front door open after doing laundry from now on so it can thoroughly dry out and get air circulation. - Just open, not WIDE open ;-)

Cheers!

Dirty water

are you using liquid detergent? if so, don't. liquid detergent has the side effect of leaving a nasy smelling slime inside the machine and think this is what you are seeing on the drain hose. if i'm right, put appliance oin boil wash when empty and use powder detergent
