Question about Televison & Video

Open Question

Hi, I have a 32" onn flatscreen tv model: LE32LCD0802ID. It keeps getting stuck on standby and won't turn on the standby light goes from bright blue to a dimmer blue then turns off for a few seconds then goes bright blue again. Any help solving this problem would be much appreciated. Thanks Charlie

SOURCE: my tv won"t turn on.

1. Hold [menu] and [vol-] button on the side of the TV
2. while holding these, press the [power] button on the side of TV (NOT remote)
3. blue light comes ON and stays ON
4. wait 10 seconds then let go of [menu] and [vol-]
5. wait another 30 seconds and some type of picture should appear

I think this is right. I got it from the JVC call centers guys so sorry if I missed or messed up a step.

Hi brendafoud, have you had this fixed as mine is the same and has been for months. It happened just after the warranty had ran out(typical). Bought from ebay and the people I got it from are not very helpfull. Have you got yours fixed yet?

SOURCE: i am currently repairing an onn lcd 32 angel-a

Check for buldging caps. Burn marks and discolorations around the components. I have found newer caps are failing around the bottom instead of bursting the tops. Check the voltages out to the mainboard to make sure they are where they should be. Another thing to do is reflow the solder on fets, transformers anything that looks broken, you can use a jewlers glass to check for these cracks.

My onn tv won't turn on the stand by blue light just keeps flashing !!! Does this mean it has gone to tv heaven ???

Often it can be as simple as bad capacitors on the power supply board, or if you cant desolder and solder replaceing the power board will usually solve a blinking power light for certain LCD tvs depending on model number but I would need your model number to further assist for your paticular situation

Tv flashes red blue green

Hi this happened to me and it is stuck on burn in mode. You need the remote, or any remote that has a menu button that works on this paricular tv. Just press the menu button on the remote once or twice and it will come on. The menu button on the tv does not work though.
