I have oa Acer Aspise 9815 WKHI. Includes GF7600 256MB graphics card. How do I set it 528 MB of graphics memory, which is declared by the manufacturer?

Restart the machine and access the BIOS, there should be a selectable setting - how much memory to use. Be aware that it sacrifices system memory to power your graphics! Later, in Windows, control panel, display.. click around, you should see how much memory is being alloted to your graphics. Also you can download the free utility Speccy that can give you this information and more.
Another situation I have seen... your laptop may not have enough physical memory (chips) and you may have to purchase and install additional memory to use it for graphics!

We understand that your problem is: Dell Latitude D420 - additional memory installed 2GB but the sytem only sees 467Mb of memory, keep getting BSOD on Boot every time. Have re-installed mem chip on...

1) Make sure you have the right memory module type. IE ddr2 ect. check your model with a memory website that checks which modules should be in your particular notebook. Its a tedious task but important.

2) Make sure your type of notebook can handle the amount of memory you have in the laptop. Some types only allow a maximum memory limit.

3)Make sure chip is installed correctly that both sides are clicked in properly.

We have an aspir e3680 that only shows 502 ram. We have a printer that needs 512 ram to operate. What are the solutions?

According to these specifications, you can install more memory in this laptop. Unplug it, remove the battery first. Remove the access cover on the back which is held in with a small screw. You should see two slots that memory chips slide in to. Additional memory can be purchased over the internet or at retailers like Wal-mart, Best Buy and Office Depot. Hope this helps you. If you need more help, let me know.

Need to add memory, can I do it on the Acer 5570z? If so, where do I purchase the memory

Yes, you can definately upgrade ram module of your notebook.
Just turn around your notebook, unscrew the panel. There you should clearly see rectangular chips of memory, Clip it out and take it your nearest computer dealership. They should be able to tell you what ram you are using and supply it for your need.

You can also just take your notebook to the store and ask them to upgrade your ram to your spesification. Normally no additional costs will be charged.

Best regards.

How do I install memory in Acer Aspire 5315-2290? It has 2 512MB in it. I have 1 2G chip. Do I remove both chips? Do I need 2 chips to put back in?

One OR two chips will work, mix or match; however,
Don't mix different "speed" chips.

If all three chips are the same speed/type, PC2-5300? Then you can use the 2GB AND the 512MB together (1.5GB total).

Hope this helps!

Install 2 RAM modules of 1 GB

The other memory may be soldered in. Check your manual and see if it has any information on additional memory. If you only have on expansion slot you may have to buy larger memory chips. like instead of 2 chips 1 gig each you may have to purchase a 2 gig chip. Computer companies usually make the chip installation easy to get to on lap tops.
