Question about True T-49 Side by Side Refrigerator Commercial

Cooling problem the fans are spinning, and the compressor at the bottem are running. the dial switch works (I think) because when I turn it to the "off" the fans turn off. We had a power outage last night. And this morning the fridge wasn't cooling. Maybe a power surge had something to do with it?

If your compressor is running and there is no indication of frosting on the evaporator (Cooling coil inside) you may have a problem with the refrigerant charge. Since these are sealed systems you may have to get a technician to tap into the system to check the pressure. If this is an older unit check the name place inside the left door and let the tech know the type of refrigerant the system has in it. such as R-12 prior to 1992 and R134A after 1992.

I have an Amana heater/airconditioner (Prestige I think) that is not cooling. The outside compressor fan was not spinning, so i I changed the capacitor on the unit. It now spins, yet vent air not cold

If that fan stopped your compressor overheated, shut off on thermal overload. Carefully cool compressor with water hose and restart. If the big copper is cold ,small copper warm, compressor is running. Check capacitor on compressor

Will a evaporator fan not running in the freezer keep the compressor from coming on. I have a 9 cf. Refrigerator in my camper. But when I turned it on the fans not turning and the coils aren't cool....

does the fans have capacitors if u are having to manually spin them it sounds like the caps are faulty. as for the compressor that will still run even if the fans arnt working it sounds like you have a few issues with the fridge

Haier HWR06XC9 fan stopped working

Either the fan motor
the fan control relay
or the fan control relay switching transistor
the unit is re starting because the gas is not getting cooled
If competent check for voltage at the fan and work you way back

I have a rooftop ac unit on my popup that was replaced two years ago. The unit works fine but I would like the fan to shut off when the compressor isn't running. Is there a switch for putting the fan...

Please describe your controls. Does it not have low fan, high fan, low cool, high cool on the dial at ceiling? If yes, low cool or high cool setting should shut it down when temperature is reached via thermostat dial.

I have a GrandAire and the aircon works fine; when I turned the heat on, it seems to work fine (warms the house), but the fan in the outside unit is not spinning when the heat is on...is this a problem?...

I think your unit is working in good condition. If you keep in cool mode the out door fan runs to condensate the heat in condenser by taking fresh air from the ambient. And when you keep heat mode, definitely the ambient temp will be too less.I fit takes from their then compressor will get frozting and it couldn't work properly. Depending on pressure increase, the fan will automatically run and stop. Don't worry. Thanks.

My Kenmore side by side refrigerator does not cool what do i to fix the problem

See if the fan is running inside. If not replace the evaporator fan. Check the lint/dust buildup under the ref. Clean if necessary. Also see if you ca find the defrost timer on it. (should be in the refrigerator side.)

Try to turn the little dial on it with a screwdriver and see if it comes out of the defrost cycle. if it does, it is a bad timer.

Is the coil freezing up in the freezer compartment? This could be caused by a bad timer or the defrost heater/terminator is bad..This will also cause the refigerator side not to cool.

Also, check and make sure the light turns off in the fridge side when the door is closed.Check by depressing the switch located somewhere close to where the door touches it.

if the compressor is running and not freezing, you may have a refrigerant leak. If not, then if the defrost timer is working, the door switch is good and fan runs, you may have a bad compressor.

The outside fan motor (OFM) will not turn off.

it sounds like your fan connector is on the same side of the contactor where your high voltage enters you should have 3 wires 1 wire for each pole of the contactor and 1 wire off the capacitor does the compressor run all the time too? try turning the power switch off on your indoor air handler / gas furnace if the power goes off the fan goes off then it could be low voltage wiring

Subzero 590: freezer works, refrigerator not cooling

This is a Sub Zero and many technicians do not realize that these units most all run on 2 separate systems. 2 cold controls 2 compressors 2 evaporators. They share a condenser and condenser fan motor. What you are describing is most likely a bad cold control. It is pretty common for these to get some age and go bad. If you are very savvy with repairs yourself then if you access the compressor area and feel that the compressor on the right is cool and the compressor on the left is warm then you know that the ref. compressor has not been running. UNPLUG THE UNIT OR CUT THE BREAKER OFF. Remove the shelving from the fresh food section and the cover to the lights and the panel below the lights and lean the back panel forward to access the cold control. You will see 3 wires to the cold control. The green wire is the ground wire of corse. Unplug the other 2 wires remembering their location on the control unit. Take a jumper wire and jump these 2 wires. If when you power the unit up the right side compressor comes on then you know that your fresh food cold control is bad. Replace fresh food cold control.

Kenmore Refrgierator is not cooling enough

Is the frost on the entire surface of the evaporator or just a portion. If it is only frosting on a portion there is a possibility your system has developed a leak and has lost some of the charge. Or your compressor has lost its ability to pump the gas. A bad condenser fan motor overtaxes the compressor and can cause premature failure. If it is a bad compressor it may be time to replace the refrigerator. Replacing the compressor is an expensive job and the warranty is only one year on a replaced compressor.
