SOURCE: outside temperature won't work
Please check the following website for all the info and faq.
If you have lost the outside temperature on the clock display after replacing the transmitter battery then do the following:
1. Make sure you have good batteries installed in the remote transmitter
2. Remove the batteries from the main clock and keep them out until the clock display disappers.
3. Re-install the batteries in the clock.
4. Wait until the display returns and includes the outside temperature display as well.
5. Set the clock again for current time/date etc.
6. Bingo. You are in business.

OFTEN you must re-sync the receiver with the transmitter in these units. Refer to the manual for startup sequence.

you probably need to 'pair' the outdoor sensor with the main base: look for a 'channel' button, as these units usually can get information from several sensors and differentiate them by a channel number.

I have found a link to Skyscan FAQ's and it has a little bit more time required to reset the system.I am not sure if it applies to all models but I could not find the manual for your particular model. It is a quick easy read and fix.I am not sure why but they recommend Duracell, but basically an alkaline battery is an alkaline battery. There is very little difference in how long an alkaline battery will last but lithium is different and lasts longer than alkaline but still, lithium is lithium and most will last very close in usage time no matter the brand(just for your info). The decision is obviously yours. If this doesn't work, please reply to this post and I will get an auto link.Good luck! hello lucy... you most likely have some corrosion in the outdoor component. Remove the batteries from the outdoor component and clean the battery contacts with the eraser end of a common pencil. Reinstall the batteries and then give it up to 8 hours to start reporting accurately again. Joe
Thanks for choosing Fixya!
